100 Posts for Auction House section?

    • No offense, but why is there a minimum of at least 100 posts required to access the Auction House section of the Forum? I can't wait to access this forum and to be honest.. I can't really be arsed to spam useless posts untill I have a 100. Also I'm pretty sure that's not what twinkinfo wants to provoke. So - why?
     
    Apologies, auction house section seems to be available for me already. I guess I got the wrong information then! Threat can be closed!

    Hopefully admins will remove this limit soon, until then I'm afraid you can't post there.
     
    It's a good thing that there is this limit in place.



    You complain now that people with <100 posts can't post there.

    If they remove it you're going to complain about scammers with <100 posts running rampant in the AH Account section.



    Get over it. It doesn't affect you - and if someone really wants to advertise their item here then I'm sure they won't mind posting 100 times. Shit, if you're a fag like Nesyla you'll manage that in like 5 days.

    100 seems like a lot but its not. and it keeps out the spambots

    if you twink just go to the bracket you participate in and shoot the shit, theorycraft, whatever. or go check out some brackets that are new to you

    I know how easy it is to gain extra posts, but I find it a bit childish to throw useless responses to threads just in order to be able to post there. Secondly, scared of scammers? Really? How the fuck do you want to get scammed these days really. Unless you use outside communication to close a deal ingame you can get scammed. If you clearly state the trade ingame nothing can ever happen to you.



    Anyway- I guess I'll have to do it the childish way then. I suppose it is good to keep the spammers away from these forums like this.
     
    You realize that buying and selling accounts isnt supported by blizzard, right? Thats the whole reason for the 100 posts, not for stupid in game shit that they can help with.
     
    I just like to think that people are able to make their own decisions on who to trust. I don't like the fact that the admins, by making this limit, indirectly assume we can't make such decisions.

    We get plenty of scammers in the auction house. The mods are 100% aware of them even if you don't think they come here. So to keep them out they do something small like making a 100 post count is not going to hurt anyone but the QQ'ers.





    If you feel as though these requirements are silly and not needed then I would suggest you to contact the head mod, Kore, through Private Messages or emailing him. Making q_q threads will do nothing but get locked/deleted by the weekend.

    If they save someone a few hundred $, then who cares what they assume or imply.
     
    Maybe there will be a few scams, oh well. Not to sound harsh but if you like this rule so much simply don't barter with others who don't have ~100 posts. There is no reason for the admins to make that decision for me. Anyways it doesn't really matter what I think.
     
    theres every reason to make a post limit. 100 might seem harsh. but w/e 50, 100.....so long as you dont let in scammers and bots its all good

    The end result? Someone was scammed for $3,000.



    The admins have plenty of reason & are fully justified in their 100 post requirement for the auction house section, regardless of what you think (thanks for admitting that what you say doesn't matter though, makes this easier on me.) If you take a look at MANY of the banned users on mmobay you will find that they are new (or relatively new) users.



    As I said earlier - if someone is that intent on using these forums to advertise their item/account/whatever then I'm sure they'd be able and willing to make 100 posts throughout our forums.
