this thread is getting uglier than healsonyou

i actually have doubts about that statement. yeah, that's the way it used to be...and i think if you dug hard in the official forums you could probably find blizz even stating that ages ago..

but look at armory profiles...why would the official armory list holy resistance (and give it a value) if it doesn't exist? (i don't really keep up, but would doubt calculating holy resistance is a bug)

http://us.battle.net...k/Lofi/advanced

And another curious question. where does the other +1 come from if the cape enchant gives +1? So could the +2 be a bug? sure....but the fact that the armory calculates holy resistance at all? not sure how that would happen just from a bug that no one bothered to address.

wowwiki is terribly dated so take anything on there with a grain of salt..

i don't even know if anyone with the enchant has dug into their logs to see if any holy damage has ever been resisted...i'm just saying the statement "holy resistance doesn't exist" is rather curious.

lol. i know right? i just wish swiftthistle could be purchased from vendors like every other herb at our level. the only herbs i bother gathering are mageroyal and briarthorn and that's only because of the swiftthistle. ...swiftthistle is the only reason i have herbalism.

I appreciate your wall of text, but you can answer this question by opening your character tab and looking under resistances. Tyere isn't even a spot for holy resist. Armory is a bug, holy resistance doesn't exist.

Edit: according to the official wow armory link you posted fire resistance doesn't exist, which is demonstratably false. Don't trust the armory.

...if you look just a wee bit up you'll see i also don't have +1 resistance enchant on my cloak.

like i've said...oh 10 times now or something. i'm just wondering if anyone has actually checked to see if they're resisting holy damage with the +1 enchant equipped.

no need to check, most people have resists set to scrolling combat text (i do anyways)

and like i said, NOBODY has ever.. past or present resisted a holy spell, christ man

or you could have just not been incredibly thick headed and listened when 5 diff people told you the same thing

the topic of this thread has been changed to eyepatches

i think if you want one you should just roll alliance imho

Just clicked again, you definately do have +1 resist all on your cloak. I'm all for devil's advocate, but pick something else. It takes literally 1 min to log on, open up your character screen, and check the list of available resistances. I noticed that armory bug years ago, for whatever reason the armory has trouble calculating resist all enchants, it doesn't add in the fire component and instead gives double the number as holy resist. In game, however, the enchant is different.

To be honest, I never even knew holy resist didn't exist. I just remember it showing up in the char tooltip in Vanilla or BC and just thought it was legit.
