+1 resistances is far superior.
 
Armor will give you next to no reduction, and resist is like 2% on spells (explosive shot, arcane shot, arcane barrage, etc) pretty obv choice of resist +1
 
Get both, and switch accordingly.



There is only 1 class that doesn't have an elemental spell to resist, and that's warriors.



Rogues you can resist crippling, Hunter's explosive, Pally's HoJ, etc. The 2% chance to resist these very critical spells >>>>>> the .15% reduction (for plate, up to around .3% for cloth IIRC) on Warrior damage. Always.



Unless you fight in a WSG vs 10 warriors.

i wouldn't count these as most casters have +10 spell pen so the +1 doesn't do poo unless you have the bandana or lava dredger to get your resist above 10



its only helps mitigate explosive shot and arcane shot. (and rogue poison)

10 armor ~ 0.5 stamina.

2% spell resist assuming 1500 health ~ 3 stamina...but remembering only for explosive shot and arcane.





for me its a decision that goes kinda like this:



a) help me out against hunters that i can't frickin keep within melee range anyway

or

b ) help me out against pallys (their melee attacks...and only some of them at that), warriors that i can kill.

(the rogue part kinda washes itself out as both enchants help against either poison or melee damage).
 
i originally had +10 armor on my 20 toons because i was lazy, and i literally went back and re-leveled enchanting on each in order to get +1 all resist on all my cloaks

at least you didn't do what i did.



level enchanting to 100..made 5 of each type of enchant.



then i dropped enchanting



and realized that instead of making 5 armor and 5 resist...i made 10 armor.

Pretty much this, if you already have a resistance racial it also makes it that much better. BRB killing a rogue while i resist crippling
 
In most cases,outside of being a belf, ill take 10armor because most players don't have an agm, thus them using 10spen.
