1.3speed dagger with icy for mages?

What on earth ever propelled you to conjure this horrible idea? You have to be in melee range to even proc the weapon hence your OPPONENT will be in range hitting you anyway. Compared to a mage's frost armor which ALWAYS slows the opponent upon hit, I don't see how this would ever be useful for ANY class.

Even if you did drop 330 mana (which post patch will take a bit longer) it is more beneficial to swap to an mp5/oom stick or even a weapon with spell power. The things you could be doing besides shanking unsuspecting players in hope of a proc is greater than a icy weapon enchant.

Mages don't go OOM ever in premades anymore.



Also, Icy is not dispellable, which would make it a good snare on a Priest (for example) if Poly is on DR/you don't have time to stop and cast/they're running double priest O.

The two mages I probably look up to the most have very different opinions on this matter. good points on both sides. Ice armor is reactive and I don't think priests or locks are going to be meleeing me so this would give one more way to slow them. Also i'm not going to be just going around shanking people hoping and praying for a game changing proc. This would most likely be random,annoying, and most likely not game changing when it happend.

most mages have many many swords/dagger/staves to choose from you made it sounds like icy on sword was my main weapon

All im saying is, icy weapon would've seen it's glory days long ago if it were in any way plausible.

I agree that mages rarely go oom anymore for the pure fact that they die well before they go oom. But who knows mabye you will go oom and just having this extra sword with icy could save u. Worth a try for yourself imo vs a pushover guild or something
