1/27/13: Idiote's Last Journal Entry; A New Page To A New Era

Wake up today, dry cold and frigid air beating on my pale face from an open window...my head hurts from all the booze I consumed last night...a long night in Dinky Town...

I stand up, stretch my arms, rub my eyes and head to the fridge. After engulfing half a bacon/cheeseburger/sausage pizza I look at the time and realize it's already half past 4. I walk back into my room and kick the power button on my computer with my right foot--causing the machine to boot up.

Interested to see what's trending on TwinkInfo, I quickly punch in the information needed to reach the site.

As I go to log on, I see that there's a thread on the portal, reading "Well guys..." by Slyddur, my gm. I log in and read the thread with an open mind.

I stop reading at "<Noodle Arms> is retiring for good." and realize what has just happened. At first, I think I'm being pranked but after a brief chat with Slyddur, I know this is for real...but I still can't help to ask myself "Is this real life or is this just fantasy?".

We had a good run for the short period of time that we were all around for, similar to that of the great MLB/NFL superstar, Bo Jackson's. Just a group of lovable lugs that rose to the top who didn't get the true credit we deserved. Finished on top (no homo, not that I have anything against it, just saying that wasn't what I was implying with my statement).

Thanks for the good times, NA, it still doesn't feel real.

Well. I don't know what to say. Great times with a great guild. Looking forward, hopefully I can keep in touch with the friends I made in this guild. I'll never forget the wedding cake disaster. Probably the best time I've ever had at 19 and that was when we were all just getting together. I'll miss NA and 19's in general but the bracket has grown stale and without the people I played with, there is nothing left for me.

Great song choice master idiote, it brings a tear to my eye in such a despairing context. My heart goes out to all my friends in NA; it's sad to see such a promising guild meet an end so untimely. #1 in my heart.

xlmaOe @ this bracket now. The inability for it to comprehend just how good NA was, is, and forever will be is truly a shame.
