I just leveled a mage to 70; i'm new to the bracket and was wondering what the bis gear/chants are. Thank you.

As for your gear, stick to using Wrath gems. BiS tends to vary on mages, especially depending on what specialization you choose to go. Haven't seen many Arcane mages around to be honest,

Was the last Arcane I've seen, post patch. Perhaps Intellect and / or power? Considering stacking any other secondary statistic besides PvP Power might not work out well, and especially Resilience considering it's scaling. ( Would have to gem far too much for any notable effect. )

Some other things to note

>PvE > PvP Gear for Mage
>Having the 2 set bonus from tier seems standard

I think intellect is better than PvP power for mages in every single way now.
Imo you should go for a mix between stamina and intellect gems.

at first you need hit cap 6% for pvp.

boot enchant: ice walker
glove: hit enchant

some pve items are much better than pvp, like pve legs with 3 soket places

only one set boni is rly strong for mages, that is the pvp 4 set bonus with 5% more dmg for the main dmg abilitys the rest ist not very usefull.

For Frost stacking max Int, for fire crit/int mix, for arcane i guess Int.

you can buy a shoulder pvp enchant from pvp vendor in OG.
