The trinkets have a lvl req the rings do not, have to keep rolling until you get the rings, also if you get revered rep you can get the ilvl 80 rings

Yeah you have to farm on your twink, it's a slow grind but there is lots to do on the island

You can do it as lvl 10, I did the Mechagon quest line on a lvl 70 character and that unlocked the starting quest near The Great Seal FP on my lvl 10

The slime trinket or the totem one? Slime works for me on all my characters, I got totem on my rogue and it doesn't work, using it the same way as I use slime

Totem doesn't work in wod dungeons but works in wotlk for me (haven't tried vanilla or bc)
