I thik that trials are limited to 20 the same way as xp locked twinks are limited to their actual level, and that that was the true reason to disabling xp lock for trials (instead of rewriting the code that handles that), perhaps by unlocking xp again you could get the limit raised to 70

I think the exp gain event handler does single level up when you pass the xp ceil for the actual level and doesn't check if you should gain 2 or more levels or so coding it that way may look incomplete localy, but it is most resistant aganist bugs and exploits etc but lets see how it turns out

what I'm saying is this: you gained the excess 700 xp at 19, not at 20 I assume you gain only one level at once so you get to 20, with enough excess experience for 21, but you will not gain experience ever again, and the leveling to 21 will not trigger

would, the excess experience is not clamped off but it doesn't make you gain two leves either

I vaguely remember reading somewhere that the function that handles leveling does simply one level and doesn't care about experience. i.e. you gain experience, check if enough to level -> if so, level up IMHO on trial account you wont gain experience at 20 and thus not trigger leveling...

But then It would be P2P account, and if I wanted to be a fair competitor in the F2P bracket, I would have to avoid doing stuff that F2P's can't anyway...

Do you mean that the Faction Change is possible? I can't see it under the Account where the options is on P2P toons. But it is not explicitely excluded unlike the Realm Transfer (at least I havent read it anywhere that it would be). Did anyone successfully faction changed? I would like to...
