Because Mutilate requires 2 daggers you pretty much have to use daggers with assass. Weapon speed has a way bigger impact in the mainhand because your ability dmg depends on mainhand weapon speed mostly, in bgs. Not sure whether poison procs are still weapon speed dependent (faster being better)...
