REMINDER: If you ever find yourself with "lingering doubts" as to whether-or-not a particular character is accruing any Banked XP... all you have to do is mouse-over that character's experience-bar, and the game itself will straight-up tell you. ;)

...more-or-less. ;) Blizzard™ has always claimed that there was a Lvl-10 requirement for "paid character services" (even when they first announced them back in 2006)... but how often would lowbies actually bother to attempt one? Who's to say there hasn't been some "windows of opportunity" over...

Ooh! I do love a good mystery! :) Just brainstorming here... but what if there's a "character service" (free Realm-Transfer of all toons, paid Faction-Change for a banker, etc.) that was previously-useable by low-levels, and had the "side-effect" of activating their Armory™ page?

Even just a year ago I would've said this "wasn't possible", but I am proud to say that my F2P has now successfully farmed (not just one, but) two complete plate-sets from "Random Drops"... and it only required - *checks folder* ...657 specific RareNPC kills (solo, single-realm)! :eek: Every...

I'll be very interested to see if we manage to find a non-RareNPC source of "downscaled" gear... but I worry that the underlying-mechanic will be so insanely-infrequent that it'll deprive us of any meaningful "data" analysis. :confused: The various Azshara-RareNPCs have some slight differences...

That's been the common claim, but I tested it when I decided to lock a fresh Lvl-1-F2P for use during The Great Gnomeregan Run a couple years ago (maybe 8.0.1?)... I was able to lock/unlock it multiple times, and even farmed a tiny bit of XP in-between. I suppose there's still a possibly that...

It should be obvious that the Veterans forum would be more appropriate for discussing "Twink Accounts Requiring Direct-Spending"... :p Don't panic... they were probably just expecting you to be on a "Freely-Usable Trial Account". ;)
