Fire mage is viable at 82 and 85/87, frost mage at 84 and 87. Atm my twink mage is sitting at almost 2.2k at 87 with engineering and tailoring. But a great tip: if you can make it night elf. Night elf mage + combat rogue will allow you to stay stealthed longer than most openents.

Yeah boomy's should level to 84 so do frost mages because of the 84 weapon and aditional gear that compensates the scaleing while having a bigger healthpool. But for instance rets should lvl to 82 because they need lots of haste/mastery and they unlock 2 more spells at 81 and get a better weapon...

Hi I'd like to calculate out which lvl would be best in the 80-84's and 85-89's bracket. So therefor I would need a list of lvl up changes to the base stats and downscaling of the % based stats. Any guide around this?

Strongest opponents i met were combat rogues, BM hunters and ret's. Rest is meh. Arena qeue at 2k rating is around 2-5 minutes. BG qeue's are around 15 minutes - 30 min (exp off)

Well, you could if you had a boa item piece, used to be an exploit. My 44 twink priest had 2k lightweave procs :d but its been fixed tough this method could work for lower proffesion skill lvl perks.
