10-19 Rogue Academy: "Vanish" at Level 19

In this Rogue Academy post, we'll cover a cool trick that rogues can do if they find themselves getting caught out of stealth by certain abilities. Furthermore, this technique can also be used proactively to create advantages for you team, which we'll cover a bit later on. First of all, what...

10-19 Rogue Academy: Dealing with Mage AoE

Nice addition Tonkks! I totally agree that pressuring the mage there can be a good move, since your chances of getting away are pretty garbage unless there's something you can use to LoS. Regarding the roof situation, some careful timing could get you through the mage's entrance AoE...but...

10-19 Rogue Academy: Dealing with Mage AoE

Thought this might be a cool idea for a rogue-centric guide series. The format is pretty simple - I bring up a situation that rogues encounter frequently, and we talk about how to deal with it optimally. Though I'm writing the series, I want it to be more of a discussion. This means any concept...

    Let's End Toxicity Together! ^_^ :D !!

I added an edit for this, but keep in mind that right now we just want a list of skilled knowledgable players, independent of attitudes. A good thing to do may be to reference the 'best of' thread that was posted recently. then nominate different players ya fool

    Let's End Toxicity Together! ^_^ :D !!

Alright, that's never really going to happen. BUT, I had an idea that may help tackle a phenomenon known as THE RIFT OF DOOM! The RIFT OF DOOM! is just a fancy metaphor for the big divide that exists between casual/less serious/less skilled players and 'hardcore'/more serious/highly-skilled...

    EU+US Best of 19s 5/6/18

I feel like there's a couple cases to be made for most of the classes. I'll narrow it down the best I can. I put * next to roles that I further explain below. Druid (Feral): Lucas/Quack * Druid (FC): Buns/Mvq * Mage: Ripduck * MM/BM Hunter: Stabilt/Phobia Surv Hunter: Fancy Warlock: Flamer...

    Toxicity

I mean I thought Elunaria was largely at fault in that situation. But that's just one example. The big issue is that people develop reputations that aren't forgiven easily. Take responsibility to improve your reputation and then you won't have an entire group of people refusing to play if you...

    Toxicity

I think there's an important distinction that needs to be pointed out here. If we didn't play games because people were toxic, there would never be games. A lot of players in this bracket are toxic, even some players who generally aren't toxic say/do toxic things on occasion. Toxicity, as you...

Let's Debunk a Bad Argument - Jumps vs. Consumables

But that's the thing, any use of a consumable is poor use. They cover for mistakes. There's bad use of consumables and really bad use of consumables, at least imo.

removing a buff is still pretty good. may apply to zerker in addition to priest bubble. interrupt definitely stronger but having aoe purge is anything but bad.

Let's Debunk a Bad Argument - Jumps vs. Consumables

I understand this point of view, but consider the following: The advantage you gain from items is BANNED in competitive play, for one. Secondly, most people who spam items also have high ilvl. Finally, the "advantage" you gain from items is a giant undo button to compensate for crappy...

Let's Debunk a Bad Argument - Jumps vs. Consumables

Drinking Gatorade is more akin to drinking water to restore mana, and speedpots are steroids that dramatically increase your performance - steroids are banned in competitive play...and probably should be banned in all play, but you won't be investigated for steroids in an unofficial pickup game...
