2nd WSG Night Wed. Aug 26 8:00 EST

I made a thread about a 2nd WSG night last week, and I think it's time. A lot of people seem to want to switch over the Arena Night to BGs from what I've been told, so that's what we're going to try.


8:00 PM EST on Wednesdays - WSG/TP

PRIOR TO 8:00 - Arenas


This should provide a way for the people who like 39 Arenas to at least get some games in. I apologize for the short notice on the change, but please spread the word for this 2nd BG night.
 
Can we start this any earlier? Like many EU also play 39s as it is so fun. Mabye start at 5 or 6?
 
As the poster above me noted, it's very hard for people outside of the US to participate when it's set to a Wednesday at this hour. At the risk of sounding like a selfish douche, can't these events take us into consideration? As someone who had an absolute blast last Saturday, I'll join in despite the fact that I have to get up for uni 5 hours after the event starts, but some of us don't have the luxury of being a vampire. While I understand the majority of players in the bracket live within the US, some of us don't, including the only noticeable FC Horde had on Saturday. I personally know more than 5 non-American players that would like to play 39s, and I am sure there are others that I don't know hiding in the woodwork. If there is no desire to keep us around in the long run, then that's a different issue, but if there is, some change in the planning has to be done.

5, 6, 0r 8pm east. still going to miss some peoples play time. If you wanna que earlier, then que and say it in RealID? might get a game going
 
Sure we can queue up earlier, shouldn't be hard to get games
 
On behalf of all the EU players who participated every Saturday till now; please do it earlier. :)
 
If you queue it up too early you will miss a lot of people. 5:00 is 2:00 pacific.

I usually don't even think about settling down to play until 7:30-8:00.

Homework will start rolling in for some people too soon!

Games will still be going when you decide to queue up.
 
Awesome! I will be gone this weekend, glad to have another night! Queue up when you can, I'd love to get games rolling earlier :)
 
Cool, missed out on this past Saturday's games.
Since everyone is stating what times are good for them...
I like 9/10PM EST start times.
 
Im pretty sure the point of having the bgs start at 8pm and arenas before is because it is the first weekday we are doing this. If u want to play earlier get on and que but dont expect a bg pop, but seeing all the eu ppl wanting to que earlier there very well may be. The majority of the bracket is still in us, and even east cost 8pm is an avg time when ppl are off work and get done with their errands for the day, on west coast some ppl are just getting out of work if that.

Exactly this. It's at 8:00 EST because that's 5:00 on the West coast. The majority of this bracket are older players with jobs, school and other responsibilities during the week that prevent them from getting on and playing until the evening.

Numbers are going to be much lower on a Wednesday night no matter what, so I think it's smarter to cater to the U.S. majority than the EU minority in this case. I don't think there is a large enough EU presence in this bracket to be able to force consistent games, let alone at midnight on a Wednesday which is what time it would be for them even shifting the games a couple hours earlier. It's unfortunate but there's not really anything I can do. Games are naturally not going to last nearly as long on Wednesday as they do on Saturday, and with that being said we should plan them for when the most players will be online, which is the evening in the US.

As others have said, feel free to queue earlier and hope for some pops, but I'm not going to be moving the "official" time from 8:00 because I feel as though it's a very safe time to hold games for the majority of the players.

having 2 arena nights on the night before each wsg night would be pretty cool imo .
it would help with keeping ppl active between the game nights as well as serve as a warm-up for the big days.
 
I thought the same thing. Give those hardcore twinkers a chance to B their Ls like before going on a hot date.

Also, Friday night has the benefit of being straya-cunt morning.
