I don't have a problem with it at all.


Some people think twinking = making the best geared toon at a specific level. Why is there a difference if boas = best gear?


I understand ANYONE who's leveling will be "bis twink" at any level they want... but really the exp on from off is what makes a twink a twink these days... As you won't even experience the exp on BOA "twinks"


I don't see the issue.
 
If they're going to keep adding more heirlooms they should atleast nerf their stats, it would make quest rewards & dungeon loot more valuable and meaningful again. Heirlooms were meant to help with leveling, but they pretty much make quest rewards and loot obsolete, and thus ruins the fun.

Honestly, heirlooms should've just been XP auras/buffs/enchantments from the get go.

Yes there's really two sources of fun in twinking. One is the combat, sure, everyone loves PvP or they wouldn't be here. But the other is the work to attain the best bits for your character. It's like an easter egg hunt or maybe more like a jigsaw puzzle. The easier they make the puzzle, the less fun it is. I totally agree that the majority of us get fun out of competing, and I'm also sure that there are some among us who don't like the grind to get BIS and just like the combat part and are glad that getting BIS is easier. But, there are also those whose main source of fun is working on and building a character slowly over time. There's no sense of reward from just creating a new set of BoAs from the tab. And though that's not a source of fun for some, it's certainly a source of fun for many. I myself have been known to abandon characters once I get them to the pre-BoA stage, because a lot of the developmental fun is already done by then. After that it just becomes waiting for the Darkmoon Faire to come around. And the BoA tab took even that away.

Long ramble, you get my point.
 
I'm curious about what the healing and stats on the rings are for level 1 twinks.

I truly, truly hate heirlooms.

I'm working on a toon that's BiS will only require one (So far, that I can tell from data) on f2p, mostly because of this. Another thing is, that I've mostly been twinking at 60,80,85 and such due to heirlooms.

I just feel they take out so much of the fun of gathering the items, farming, grinding. That's half the reason I twink, because it's more similar to how MMOrpgs used to be. Granted, there are always pieces you can pick up on the AH at high prices, but I'd prefer that even over heirlooms.

Having every single piece, or close to it being all heirlooms just feels so cheap and homogenized.

I see your point mate but to me, twinking is also the feeling of being unique and surperior compared to casuals around this level. It is also the feeling of standing out in a crowd and the admiring from people who acknowledge the time and effort that has been put into your twink
