12 dodge on cloak

I think it worked for a month or so when cata released.



Got grandfathered mid wotlk I think, but scrolls and unbound cloaks with it still work, I think.

there were two versions of the 12 dodge to cloak. one required lvl 35 item and the other one, aka "Lower City" didn't. Later it was changed so that they both required lvl 35 items.
 
Even thought it said +35 the AQ Receipe worked.
 
i have the actual old AQ enchant somewhere and it didnt say req lvl35 before ill look and see if it changed, not the scroll the pattern you learn the enchant from.

The AQ40 Pattern was changed to +35 in Cata.



Only Scrolls from the AQ40 Pattern, will still work, if they were enchanted prior to the patch
 
When you learned the LC recipe you could not learn the AQ one. This tells me they are the same enchant. It doesn't matter what the tooltip says, only what actually happens in practice. Now, while I understand some people may want to stack dodge, overall, I think 8 agility 8 dodge is better than 12 dodge.



Several items at one point said that they required a certain item level to be enchanted, but in practice, this was not what happened. I have several level 19 leg items, with an item level well below what 40 armor requires, and they have 40 armor on them, and the character is getting the benefit from the 40 armor in the character sheet.

When it worked, both chants said lvl35, you could only learn one, but only the AQ one worked.



So no, they're not (or were not) the same enchant.
 
I learned the LC formula. It said level 35 required. It still worked on level 1 vendor trash. This was during LK. I don't remember what patch. I still say they are the same enchant. The only difference is the formula used to learn it.
 
12 dodge was working, in cata the steelweave also got changed to 12 dodge instead of defense. I think that when steelweave got changed the other two 12 dodge to cloak enchants got updated too which is where the grandfathering plays in.
