WoW Shop for F2Ps?

Hey all, I've been lurking in these forums for a few years now. I've been playing on a pure F2P account since Warlords of Draenor. I used to play regular subbed WoW as well on a different account, although I haven't used that account since Legion.

My question is whether or not pure F2Ps can purchase in-game items (like the Dreadwake mount) from the Blizzard Store, or if you need to be subbed to do that.

Also, I've seen a few people mention buying Shadowlands so they can go to Oribos - is it possible to be summoned to Shadowlands zones as an F2P if you buy the expansion but don't sub? I didn't think it was, so I may have just misinterpreted those comments.

I don't believe so but you should be able to access the store and find out!

I don't know of any reason to be summoned to Orbos for 20s but maybe there is something.
A 30 day sub will be auto added with the purchase of the game. Any banked XP (up to 10 levels) will be automatically added to your character upon entering the world with that character. You COULD buy the game, not play anything for 30 days, and then theoretically have SL while still having banked XP that was not applied. Your account would be considered a veteran one, but you wouldn't be able to actually benefit from any of the veteran things (sending yourself enchants/bags/gold/etc). You could mail it to your 20s but without being able to log them while you are sub on, you won't be able to get the mail once the sub is back off. Maybe a GM can open the mail for you but that is a lot of hoops to jump through. Pretty much if you want SL on that account you'll need to remake any 20s as the banked xp will bump them to 30.

you can buy stuff from the bliz store on the f2p acct; just make sure you're buying stuff that is automatically added to your collection, and not mailed to you in-game.

Oh, interesting. Is there any way to differentiate between whether something goes straight into the collections and whether it's mailed? (Before I purchase it, I mean.)

battle pets go to collections but thats really the only one I have experience with

mounts get auto-added to the collection. that transmorpher toy (that lets you morph into different warcraft NPCs) gets auto-added as well.
