EU+US The difference between Veteran & F2P

Răzvan

Veteran
So, I was made this Druid https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-gb/character/eu/outland/rostova 2 days ago. I made a decent progress, I guess. I know is not so good, but it's a beginning. Anyway, I've seen others veterans and I made duel with them, but I didn't have any chance. Ok, I know that I'm one the best noob when it's about a Druid (Restoration/Balance), but anyway, not even a change. The difference between a f2p and a veteran are so big? Am I the one who are too stupid to play it? All that thoughts make me to reroll, in a melee class (warrior/rogue). But maybe is there a guide for a druid. Please, help me! I was very lucky getting that gear in 2 days! Thanks!

Druid and shaman are the closest a pure f2p can get to vets, yes the power margin is noticable. If you arent a resto druid or rsham atm you'll basically get smoked by anyone with enchants. Welcome to f2p lmao

So you say that any others classes, without enchants, will be even worst? And BTW that Crusader enchant is really that strong?

Pretty much, those 2 are basically the meta for pure f2ps rn, maybe MM hunter but they dont have the survivability. Crusader is completely busted, yes. 100 str is ridiculous and double is 200. Warriors are dogshit as pure f2p but put crusader in them and it brings them to almost top tier alone.

It really depends on what you want out of WoW. Duels? BGs?

Druid, especially balance/resto is by far one of the strongest classes. Not only due to the class/specs but also due to them being able to use the Druid of the Fang armor, the bonus is huge int increase for a F2P. Maybe you just need some more practice? Personally, for me, playing druid is like trying to play with my hands tied behind my back. It's just weird to me.

The only reason to be F2P still is because you enjoy the restrictions for PvE stuff or you're a PvP sadist.

There's not really much of a stigma around going veteran anymore.

For some reason, I can't load this character? It just shows black to me and all slots empty. Anyone else having this problem?

to OP; since I can't see your character, you can look at mine:
https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-us/character/us/misha/spreelit

I'm a little bit grandfathered, so also look at this druid, whom I look up to:
https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-us/character/us/jaedenar/Syncopy

@Chops will be the first to tell you that that gear can be farmed pretty straightforward if you give it enough time.

Hope this helps!

It's not about the class or if you are f2p or veteran or a 29 or whatever it's about the person behind the screen tbh.

yes. party sync with someone in that brackets level range. your scaled gear will be doo doo compared to geared players. a player leveling through in enchated boas will out gear you. no enchants for you but some of the on use boas do work.if youre a dk the runeforging does also.

The main difference between Veterans & F2Ps is...
Veterans are pigs who "Pay 2 Win" in basic. They buy all the good shit items, use professions above 100 (300), etc.

Vets = Twinks = Filth!

I have an active subscription most of the time but I would never use 20 level vet! Thats disgusting! ANAL JIHAD FOR ALL VETS AND TWINKS!

I was quite competitive as a pure F2P MM Hunter and Balance Druid, able to perform well enough in BGs to have fun and all but yes it's a big difference and skill alone can't close that gap. Fortunately, with the party sync update there's now a BiS trinket available for F2P, Lacquered Carving. If you can get two of it that's a total +10 int/agility and +10 versatility, which makes quite a difference.

All you need is to clear all the quests in some starting area (such as Elwynn Forest), create a new character in another F2P account, ask for someone to invite both your characters to a group, activate party sync and do all the quests again until it drops from the crates you'll get (no need to do it on the new character, just make sure it doesn't log out). If it fails wait one day and repeat the process.

Vets = Twinks = Filth!
You always say that your 20 is "not a twink" because he's simply at his max level, "no xpoff = not a twink"

By your dogshit logic vets aren't twinks either, our xp is on just like yours is and our account status makes it so that we're at our max level just like you are. On that note I guess classic twinks aren't twinks either then because their xp is on, yeah?

It's funny because you're not even pure you're linked, lmao.

I know you are just replying to Kaløyan but most definitions of the word twink don’t even mention locking the xp.

“A low-level character made more powerful by higher-level characters, usually through gifts of armor and weapons that the character would not normally have at such low level. Also used as a verb to describe the act of giving low-level characters powerful items uncommon at their level.” -WoWWiki

“Twinks are player characters below the level cap who have gained the best powerful gear for their level with enhancements such as expensive weapon enchants, leg patches and BoE/BoP greens, blues or epics. Twinks are mainly used in PvP fighting and Battlegrounds.” - Wowpedia

“In Massively multiplayer online role-playing games, or MMORPGs, twinking refers to a character gaining equipment with the assistance of a higher level character, particularly by giving the low level character higher level equipment that is otherwise unattainable. It can also be used to describe the process of keeping a video game character at a low level while using in-game currency, earned by a high level character, to provide it with superior equipment.” -Wikipedia

For me, twinks is a state of mind, if you consider yourself a twink, you are a twink. I consider at least my own f2p chars as twinks, I consider vets as twinks and I consider vanilla twinks as twinks.
