What is Name Brand, who are you guys?
Name Brand is a guild of like minded players, and friends whose goal is to become one of the most dominant guilds in the brackets and compete with other guilds in Pugs, and Wargames. Our success isn't pulled from our players skill level. But our dedication to success and our perseverance through failure. We work with each other through our wins, and losses alike. Learning from our failures and earning our victories.

Why should I join Name Brand instead of another guild?

Name Brand is in a pretty exciting stage of growth right now, we have not been around as long as many other guilds. The guild formed mid legion. Which means every member will have a hand in the direction and success of the guild. We also work together in 5 man pugs often to coach each other and help grow ourselves as players. We often swap roles and give the chance to try new classes, strategies and the chance to lead. We are also recruiting for our wargame teams.

Do you guys even wargame?
We are currently looking to fill out our wargame teams roster to compete against other guilds, and have in house wargames for practice, and competitive fun.

What are the requirements to join Name Brand?
  • Have a good attitude, don't be a toxic menace.
  • Have a good understanding of the game, 19s and warsong gulch.
  • Have discord, a working mic, and the ability to communicate.
  • Do not use consumables, or buffs in pug Warsong Gulch games.
Why are consumables, and buffs not allowed?

Name Brand was originally formed to stand apart from the mongoloid pug survival hunter premades that speed pot and glide around like lunatics and win games with little brain power, or 60 int boomies 1 shotting levelers. We believe in a competitive environment and winning games by out strategizing the enemy team.

This sounds like a great guild to be a part of. Since you're talking 19's, I'm going to start a few toons tonight. And, since I'm new to twinking, is there any kind of class/spec recommendations from you veterans? My usual go-to classes outside of twinking are assassin rogue, affliction lock, survival hunter, and ele shaman. I could do any one of those and be at home but maybe this is a good opportunity to branch out into something else... open to suggestions!

I'd say play anything you feel comfortable on. some of the funnest games ive had were on my crappy arms warrior lol.

the beauty of the meta right now is that every single class and spec is absolutely viable - however survival hunters and disc priests have a very low skill floor with a very easily attainable skill ceiling

to stay on topic - name brand has come out of the blue as a much more impressive guild in the eyes of mine and many than any other new guild in the scene over the past ~12 months

You can still have skilled discs and survs tho but the majority of them are complete garbage facerollers

This is @Borke , he is my friend he is probably the oldest 19 twink to be around with a character creation date of (Feb 8, 2005). he beats Ripducks Druid Creation date by 6 months. He was last seen complaining how the game is bad and not the same, if you see this twink PST at your closest Mailbox. will he come back in BfA when stats matter? RIP Borke 2005-2018.

my hunters creation date was december 26th 2004. but wasnt twinked until probably around may of 05. its been awhile so i may be incorrect on when she was twinked. but december 26th was when my acc was made and she was the 1st char i created but didnt "main". @Nitten19

if that was so, you would have a 1.0 title. then again you log on to run a idle macro but never que gulch.
 
@Nitten19 the only time i've used anything to idle was in the legion event and even that didnt work. but no i dont idle macro for anything.

A lot of us do plebmades almost daily which is pretty much 10v10 twinks only warsong gulch. We are in the process of starting guild vs guild wargames now though. we also run guild 5 man premades in pugs for fun quite often. We do have members who don't do wargames at all and thats fine we take people who just play pugs competitively.
 
The story behind my toon name isn't a special story. I'm not very good at making names so i was thinking to myself, what my name is? I decided to save my brain power and just end there, save the complication don't even try to be creative.
 
Been in the guild since around the start, definitely would say to join this, very helpful guild, and always a blast to chill in disc w/ them when we pug :).
