Ello there :D My name is Fry and I play a priest on the 20-29 bracket.
Some days ago I accidentally leveled my beloved priest to 21, after not having touched it for around 8 months, and ofc I was extremely sad. I had heard of people having their toons de-leveled but it had been super rare ocassions and my luck with gms had been not-so-awesome until today.

I submitted a ticket asking nicely but they told me it wasn't possible for them to do that.
I was losing hope and tried a not-so-conventional way of reaching a gm, hoping I'd finally get noticed. My friend @Rhaellia had told me that some months ago he got a gm to change a quest item that he wanted for his xmog..
GMs aren't supposed to do that, but he got it done writing an RP ticket.. which you can read here ↓

Is this common? Do GMs just can't resist RP talking?? What's the most awesome response you've gotten from a GM???

90% of the responses on tickets are automatic copy paste replies. It takes a long time to actually get trough to a real person to talk to. Your best bet is to either call them via phone or live chat.
That way the chances are much smaller to get automatic responses.

Besides your ticket is stupid and does not serve a purpose no wonder you didnt get a gm to play into your hand

You can't it's been like about 7 months since you've been 21 man this person barley dinged to 21 recently and with your background on your account I doubt they will change it now
 
Ye I fear that cus of m ban record it will be different. But you never know until you give I a shot

Sadly, in my country the option to call them via phone or live chat isn't available. The responses I've had for my past 4 or so tickets (not related to this issue) have been through the website, even when I'm online and available to chat, they wont reach me that way. Not sure if it's the country I'm in, but it wont even show me an option to get live chat/phone call...

I don't think it's that important to give you a proof.. but if you want, you can check the toon, it's in my signature. It's back to lvl 20 :D

But the GM did play into Fry's hand? The toon is now level 20 instead of 21...

They dont care or even look how old your character is, i've cheesed my way trough thralls gift with race changing from ally to horde, they claimed my character just exited goblin starting zone yet the char was made 3 years prior to the transfer.
Not to mention a bunch of other things that I will not discuss openly : )

And phone call / live chat should always be available from 8-5pm I belive. <- Its only available for certain support areas tho

they look in recent tickets to see if your spamming tickets sometimes... GMs get lazy and when this happens they either roll with protocol and give some bullshit saying they dont have the tools to do something even though they do, or they say fuck it and go the easiest way which is 2 give you your shit and they use their magic gm tools 2 create the item and send it to your mail or in this case delevel your character. I myself have gotten a character deleveled and i can say from the GMs words they say they will only do it in certain situations like you NEED to have it deleveled and not WANT to have it deleveled, the GMs say its only a 1 time thing that being said i would save yours for a urgent time. I will give an example a person like @Turtle what happen to him is the leveled on purpose to get rare gfed items mogged on his character then get delvled to 20 with 21 items mogged, what happen there is that stuff like entering instanced pvp, equipping higher items that the original level disqualify you for getting a delevel, when they think about delvling you they have guidelines and as long as you are within the guidelines and pass all the required stuff then you have a 50% chance of getting deleveled.
 
I have had to call them up before. Unfortunately they could not fix my issue. I may try again when Legion comes out.

I believe it's 1 delevel per character, not the account. I've had 2 toons deleveled within the past year, so either I slipped through the cracks or you arent completely limited to 1 delevel. Also, I used live chat both times and after answering some questions regarding the level the GM helped me out with no problems. PS @Turtle is scum and you dont deserve level 20.
