EU+US Rogue Gear

Hey guys,

I'm reasonably new to the 19 scene so I was wondering if anyone could help me out with my rogue's gear/spec? I am currently assassination and here is my armoury: http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/blades-edge/Dárkness/advanced

I've seen many people use non-loom neck and chest. Also thrall's gift which I don't understand and daggers such as Talon of Vultros and Goblin Screwdriver. Should I be changing my gear based on whether I'm in arena/bg or in world pvp?

Any info would be appreciated, thanks!

nobody does world pvp so yes anything that isnt ilvl 24 will scale in bgs making it better (thralls goes to 7 agi)

As of right now id stick with a balanced set and practice the class in battlegrounds and arena. Many peple like to vary their set based of preference and that only comes from getting out into pvp and seeing what works for you. Lots of people roll glass cannon sets but that might not be the best choice if youre new to rogue at 19.

Those two look reasonably solid but I can't quite understand Originaal's cloak. Does it scale higher in BGs/arena? Also they both have two blackened defias pieces which awards the +10 armour but Saxx is losing out on 1 agillity and 5 crit. Originaal is losing out on 2 stamina and 5 crit.

Also the Goblin Screwdriver is grandfathered so should I use 2x Talon of Vultros? And is the level 7 Talon better than the level 11 one?

Both Talon of Vultrols scale to the same stats... Saxx is going for the 2piece defias set, he just wants the stat distrubution from defias gloves over fang gloves (6stam 4 agi on defias/ 6agi 4 stam on fang both gloves scale to 7/5 of their respective stats) The belt scales to 7/5 making it better than the satchel belt because 1 agi>3 crit (you trade 2 agi for 5 crit making the 2 agi better) Originaals cloak scales to 5/5 (losing a stam for an agi, the agi is better than the 2/2 crit/haste the boa gives)

Hope those numbers help, if you need to see more numbers on certain items just que an arena and check the stats out inside. (or a BG)

i wouldnt recommend buying any GF'd gear as legion is around the corner and everything is changing

I assume you're referring to the potentially BiS items from the legion invasion events?

It appears gear will have little to no consequence in instanced PvP.

defias boots are for swag purposes the +10 armor is considered bonus armor and will not effect a rogues stats. Defias gloves vs Fang gloves are personal preference. and as others have stated unless you absolutely want to be bis for the ~2months until legion you can just get away with satchel belt of the bandit lynx feat = defias boots

I'd like to be close to BiS. What daggers/cloak/chest would you recommend (for arena)? Those are the only things I'm still confused about.

Level 11 Talon and level 7 talon are unique, You'd have to get one of both and the level 11 is extremely rare. 1 ToV + 1 heirloom would probably be best

So best possible is 1x talon 1x goblin screwdriver, 2nd best is which? 1x talon + 1x loom or 2x talon? By best do you mean easiest or actual best dmg? And does it matter which dagger is in the main hand?

2x Talon should be more than enough

Always remember it doesn't hurt to test some things and see how you like them for yourself

Yeah I know I was just hoping someone already had extensive knowledge on the topic so I don't have to spend a fortune on the wrong gear.

So 1x Talon (lvl 7) and 1x Talon (lvl 11) is the best? After 1x talon and 1x goblin screwdriver I assume?

And does it matter which dagger is in the main hand?
