EU+US So can you stack bonus armor at lvl 10

If you use the Wowhead filter for gear and narrow the results to Level 101-110, BA is gone come Legion. There are a few people that say there's still a few BA left in Legion but I've found no SS to verify this. There was a Wowhead post back in Jan 2016 that stated Blizz was removing Spirit and BA from the game. Spirit is confirmed to be removed as recently as the switch from Alpha to Beta, as well as Multistrike. Whether or not BA will remain on lower level items such as Looms only time will tell. I also read one MMO Champ discussion that suggested that BA was becoming Versa in Legion, that one DID have a SS to verify the comments.

However, I can say that BA (via Looms) makes VERY little difference at Level 10, mostly because of the sheer value of Armor you already have on Tank Classes, around 44%. If Blizz does change ALL BA to Versa, then Level 10 Tanks should be capable of VERY close to 100% Versa come Legion!!

Alright I'll use your incomplete Toon as an example versus my nearly complete Protadin (still have to Faction change to finish, and AGM/Returning/Defending Trinks ofc). I will use only what Armory says (even though it's not 100% correct) for a comparison. My Pally Noradeen is in my Sig.

  • HEALTH: 1890 (Me) -vs- 1314 (You)
  • ARMOR VALUE: 181 (Me) -vs- 175 (You)
  • BONUS ARMOR: 7 (You) -vs- 6 (Me)
  • DODGE: 14.69% (Me) -vs- 5% (You)
  • PARRY: 18.63% (Me) -vs- 14.93% (You)
  • VERSATILITY: 58.14% (Me) -vs- 25.14% (You)

  • STRENGTH: 61 (You) -vs- 57 (Me)
  • ATTACK POWER: 74 (You) -vs- 63 (Me)
  • *DAMAGE: 66-76 (Me) -vs- 59-68 (You)
  • *DPS (White Dmg): 39.9 (Me) -vs 33.7 (You)

Please understand I realize you aren't even fully geared let alone fully Enchanted but you can see that even though you have MORE BA / Str / AP than my Protadin does, she will take a faction of the Damage you will while STILL doing more Damage output. Don't put too much faith in BA = AP unless you have TONS of it, which we just don't at 10. Once you get yours fully Geared/Enchanted let me know and I'll revisit the comparison to see what the difference truly is.

Wouldn't the chefs hat be worth it? 10 BA vs the 6 str / stam and haste??

It would certainly boost your BA, however like you see above, it's going to take a crap load of BA to make it actually worth "stacking" considering at 10 we have so few options. Ofc the issue of it being replaced in Legion with Versa becomes problematic. It takes (from 0 to 100 Epicurean's Awards) at least 50 days, but in reality it's a nearly 3 month climb to get the Chef's Hat since we can only do 1 Cooking Daily per day. By that time 7.0 will have dropped. Now what might be interesting is if the system auto changes that Hat to some amount of Versa, might actually make it BiS at that point.
