EU+US Legion - Return of the wand?

Currently for all wand users in legion its looking like a heirloom mainhand (or a higher item level weapon if you find one) with http://www.wowhead.com/item=43327/stratholme-lily is going to be Bis.

However if the high ilvl white items eventually get nerfed using a wand may be the way forward.

This is because you would gain a spell http://www.wowhead.com/spell=5019/shoot#comments from equiping a wand rather than not having one for the sake of 1 item level.

Some wands that would be of use include:

http://www.wowhead.com/item=5209/gloom-wand Just for the name, purchased from multiple vendors such as http://www.wowhead.com/npc=1312/ardwyn-cailen in Stormwind or http://www.wowhead.com/npc=5133/harick-boulderdrum in ironforge. Item lvl 21

Ahh ok so wand choice would be based on looks or the school of magic which the wand is from.

Have an old warlock with that... wish I had horde GF'd items on it though.

I remember having a priest a long time ago with that and the wand talent... I'd shoot a volley, hop, turn, shoot another... and actually do decent damage without wasting mana on smite. Nostalgic.

Because currently the only real reason to swap to a wand would be if your oom which doesant happen too much, switching to a wand atm would mean losing out on alot of stats from main/offhand or a staff.

I have it on two horde chars, one of which is 19. I think it might have been a horde quest. Only one ilvl less than the Gravestone.
