How to join a party with no P2P friends :(

The Beast Within
Just a quick question, and I'm hoping there is a way to do this, but my 1 and only guild friend has just cancelled his sub, so we'll both be Vet very soon.

Up to now, my friend being P2P has simply created parties for us, but is there going to be a way to party together once his sub ends?

We'll both be Vet accounts, and in the same guild, but as a Vet I'm unable to invite anyone to a party.

What I'm thinking is that it may be possible to try doing 2's, and if by chance you get on the same team, you queue together again, then when we leave the arena, can we queue for dungeons or bg's? Will it kick us if we leave the arena queue?

I'm thinking out loud here but if anyone has any ways to join a party between 2 x Vet's that would be appreciated.

While I was P2P, I used to help other F2P friends to start parties, and then I'd leave and it would allow them to be in a party. I don't want to have to bother someone to start a party, but if that's the only way, I may need to look for some more friends :(

Hoping there is a way!

Not that i know of, and joining 2s does nothing but allow you to queue with the party member IF you select the queue again button after the 2s ends. Afterwards you will not be able to queue battlegrounds or dungeons with him.

The only way i know of you could use is just ask people at Durotar/Goldshire or even the orcs'/trolls'/Northshire(starting zone). That is what i used to do, it took some time to get grouped, but it eventually happened.

I hope that helps, good luck.

I suppose I could give you my btag, and try and group you two whenever I'm on.

Then again, knowing my luck, you live like 12 hours ahead/behind me.

lol - you are probably right Taco. I live on the western extremity of the Oceanic timezone, which is actually in the worst possible timezone for even Oceanic Realms and US Realms. When I get on late at night which is the only time I can play, server pops are low because ain't nobody on at that time

I like Lenny's idea of asking around Goldshire. Hopefully there's a chance of some nice people around willing to help out some cheapskate Vet player

Vets can still talk in guild chat so I'd say your fine unless it's dead.

Unfortunately it will be dead. Only been me and 1 friend for the last year in the guild, and now he's going Vet so it'll be inactive. I wasn't counting on him going Vet, but I guess we haven't done end game arena since around April last year when I went Vet, so he's got bored and will join this bracket.

You can try using the f2p addon to find people to group you

It does depend on your server and if others on the server are using the f2p addon as well , worth a shot

I'll PM you my btag anyways. Even if I'm not on WoW, I'm normally up late, and my bnet is open 99.7% of the time.

I play on oceanic too and while I do have toons on gundrak and jubeithos, the guilds there are pretty dead compared to others. That server just doesn't have enough players, at least on horde side

I think I've seen one of your toons once or twice in a bg, but the names are not listed on your footer of the toons I saw. But Gundrak and Jubei are dead unfortunately, but at least I get a good ping rate on them :) Also, it doesn't matter whether Horde or Ally, both are low pop.

Being on the west coast of Australia, when I log late at night, which is when I can play, I miss all the east coast and New Zealand, as it's early morning, like 2am to 5am there, so I miss all them, and the yanks I miss as it's early morning the same day, like 6am to 8am ish, so Gundrak and Jubei are like a ghost town when I'm on :(

And to add injury to insult, when there is Tuesday maintenance, it wipes out my Tuesday night, so WOW is only available to me 6 days a week most weeks

I recently visited the west coast of Australia as part of my exploration achievement :-

Ask other 20s in Goldshire, they'll still hear you even if you're F2P.

Or do what I did, sub for a month, buy a WoW token, level and gear up as many toons as possible, park them in a twink guild, and unsubscribe.

This way I'm in guilds and can use guild chat to ask for someone to help group me up with someone.

My alli fire and horde fire mage is from jubei'thos and in the morning there is no one in orgrimmar at all; you would have to go outside to meet other players who are not on jubeithos or gundrak.

Join a more active guild? That way there's always someone online to group. See if you can convince a few to run the f2paddon so you can group without bothering them.

Gundrak guilds are very quiet and inactive tho. Once they invite you, a "hi welcome" is all you are gonna get for your rest of the time on the guild.

Try to a below 30 leveler in org/sw and just ask them politely and see if it works. If you a get a hi back you will most likely get a group so ask away until someone answers.
