So I'm sure everyone has a favorite or preferred class, I know there's a lot of people who just want to play what's OP too, with the changes legion will bring have you decided what you will make your main character? If so, what class?

I'll still main my arms warrior but I will play my fury warrior a little more too

Too hard to tell yet with so much to probably change. All this stuff about legion is getting to be too much with it being nearly a year away still.

OT: I will probably still be playing my druid and depending on how affi lock is I will also play that.

If I come back to the game for Legion, I will probably just continue with my mage.

I'll probably stick to my DK for endgame, been maining one since WotLK, but I'll definitely have to give demon hunter a try after seeing that mastery boosts their run speed... excited to run old cata raids etc. with a mastery stacked set up. For twinking I'll definitely keep playing my pallies at 29 etc. assuming I stick around for legion.

WW till i die

I'll have to stick with my Paladin as my endgame main. Redoing all of the reps, achievements, quests and such to swap to a new main would just be exhausting.

Guess my hunter will stay my twink main. Can't be bothered funding another twink.

I have not really had fun with the game since pre cata however I've kept an active subscription for nostalgia / twinking sake. I enjoy the fantasy of my characters and when the game seems to be lacking, it helps to aim for more immersion and for a thing to do, it's fun to go for insanely rare raid drops every week. Unfortunately I've obtained just about everything in the game I could ever want except a swift spectral tiger. That's probably going to be my next and last thing on my list aside from farming some game tokens to play for free.

With that being said I think I may be playing a lot of pally in legion mainly because of having ashbringer once again. The ashbringer lore and story is one of the most ascetically appealing and interesting ones in the WoW universe in my opinion. I just like the human light bearing pallies vs their fallen kind and the entire paladin / arthas / scourge / lordaeron story is my favorite in the game. Second would honestly probably be the defias brotherhood days and old VC. I don't care for running through any more ogre / beetle / old god tenticle raids and I definitely could not be bribed to enter another Sha raid. I miss the old school Only raid and wish there were more of a focus back on the humans vs orcs vs dragons instead of the part robot / machine / mystery gene pool dragons we've seen in cata. Why can't we see more raids like old school Only (principle being there's a big and dangerous dragon, let's run in and try to slay it). There has been too much of a lack of danger in the game and when WOTLK was announced I remember saying "how awesome would it be if like every day Arthas comes through on Sindragosa and fucks up a horde or ally city for the day or something" and they made that happen with cata which was GREAT.

I hope legion brings more of the fantasy / RPG aspects to the game and gets it back to square one a bit. It's gotten so far on tangents and I applaud the effort from not wanting to make the same game every expansion, but the content / stories have just not been interesting to me at all post WOTLK. Time traveling Garrosh? Sha corruptions on pandaland? Tenticles and hybrid dragons were more interesting to me than the more recent expansions, but I remember just running through azshara / duskwood / tanaris / burning steppes / wetlands and just coming cross a MASSIVE epic dragon that burns your face off. That game was the shit!

1st main - Mage
2nd main - Rogue
3rd main - Pally
4th main - Death Knight
5th main - Hunter
6th main - Druid

Mage from Cata on has been so little fun to me compared to TBC mage. Like castable mage armor was SO annoying. With some of the changes though, legion looks much better for mage. I absolutely have hated mage for the past few years and TBC mage was just so free in play style. Conjuring food, buffing, dispelling, teleporting around, throwing fire / frost / arcane. Basic concepts are still there, but just look at the mages at the dark portal in HFP casting blizzard on demons... that was old school mage... now they're just not nearly as fun. I love the concept of the more support role ranged CC / dps on the sidelines.

Rogue became so overcomplicated in just the opener alone and I really stopped wanting to play rogue after the entire stun lock play style that they acquired in TBC. I don't like the concept of having to press a 14 key sequence of macro operations to open on a target and in that sequence, 100---->0 the opponent. Rogue used to be about dodging, combat positioning, movement etc... not spending 90% of the game in stealth to be in combat for 10 seconds and then return to stealth. Legion looks like they're trying to return to this with the outlaw changes.

Pally has been pretty rad but imo holy pally after WOTLK has been frustratingly bloated. They tried to make healing classes harder to play by giving them more abilities. Not that I'm "bad" at playing it or anything, but I really don't enjoy nor see the point in some of the mechanics that the class has picked up post holy power. Some of the abilities just feel so redundant and situational. I didn't mind buff bots spamming 1 or 2 heals while your tanks / dps tried to beat the clocks on mechanics. Ret has been fine though, but holy is just annoying to me.

Death Knight I only boosted up for RBGs. Fun here and there but I don't really care for the specs honestly. 2H frost is most appealing to me and it's being voided out as a viable composition. I will still check out frost in legion for the lore behind acquiring the shards of frostmourne. Would have LOVED it if they reforged frostmourne instead though and frost played as 2h. Ashbringer just completely outshines nearly every other artifact and it would be nice to have artifacts that would compete with it such as brox's axe.

Hunter I've absolutely been loving, especially as beast master. Unfortunately, they're doing away with the single pet BM + bow and if you like the single pet + bow, you're not going to find it in Legion as BM any more. I don't really like that. All of my classes / specs were created with specific fantasy in mind for pure immersion sake and eyes of the beast / tracking was so much fun. I think survival may play a lot like the old TBC meleeish range hunter with raptor strike etc. I may be returning more towards survival, but the marksman bow is just far too enticing to pass up.

Druid I've only made for soloing old raids for some gold. Guardian is ridiculous being an active avoidance tank spec spamming like 4 buttons and then resto has just too much ability bloat in my opinion. I kind of miss when druids would shape shift into subtle animals instead of glowing neon beasts.

Just some things I've been ping ponging around in my mind about classes / fantasy / legion etc.
