The community should vote for the moderators m8

No one has actually come up with an argument. [Censorship] is something that shouldn't exist in the world. Look at the end of the day I just want people to say what they want without getting censored

No one has to come up with an argument, because they can still do what you don't like, even when you argue against them. Like you want free speech, other people want to not hear certain things - for instance, disparaging them. You can't wipe it from the face of the world, because some kid will be born and called "ugly," and he'll want to stop people from saying it. Power shifts, censorship will rise again. I wish I had more to end this post properly, but I reckon I'm not saying much new anymore.

Well i've explained it across the board in great lengths. No one has actually come up with an argument that doesn't go along the lines of ''you're a toxic asshole''. It's funny in a way because they accuse me of 'name calling'' yet they do the exact same thing in return. I used the words ''people should'' because there is still a contention with the PC attitude. Now that South Park has addressed the topic of censorship and is getting more and more attention we are starting to see alot of people realize. It is something that shouldn't exist in the world. Even Donald Trump is speaking about it as well. You can see here that i'm not just calling you ''Mr.poopy face'' or ignoring your arguments am I? Look at the end of the day I just want people to say what they want without getting censored, its a pretty simple concept. I'm not advocating rape or supporting ISIS here.
If you want to do away with censorship start your own website, don't go getting pissed off because you are on a diet while others eat donuts now.

And you want reasons to your arguement and I'll chime in.

1. Opposing opinions you take personal
2. You created thread that were to do nothing but cause drama
3. You brought up politics
4. You've started witchhunts
5. Censership is used everyday all over the web, if you don't own the site don't fucking join
6. You brought up politics
7. You keep creating thread that server very little purpose on the 19 forums
8. Still use insults like "faggot" when someone makes fun of your threads
9. I can't look at your profile without some creepy motherfucker on my monitor

But I will give you props for the rings, shit was nice when I got lazy on my mage.

Yea I understand what you're saying. I mean Nichole Arbour who made a youtube video recently addressed why we should fat shame and made some good points, she got her channel removed for a week because it was ''hate speech'' aka people want their safe space. Social justice warriors and fat people didn't want to hear what she said so they desperately tried to remove her. It is the world we live in. I will push for no censorship other people will push for censorship. I see it being like Christianity though. Alot of people will take the PC attitude as being moral and the mature way of living. Slowly overtime it will fall apart and people will start to realize how pathetic it is. A big breakthrough has already come through with the South Park episodes and Donald Trump views as I said before. Glad to see that someone can address my claims and give a decent argument. Cheers.

I have addressed all these, except the politics point. I don't know what you mean by that, please explain.

im the perfect person for moderator position. im unbiased and will infract and ban popular faggot toxic 19s in a heartbeat.

The general consensus from the few people I actually talk to or care to hear opinions from is that TwinkInfo is a joke, a place for people to shitpost and be toxic with a side of a few useful tools that get buried by all the drama / @threads. People like Solipsist who take advantage of the current lack of quality control / moderation are effectively killing the community and driving more people away than attracting. I can personally say as a fairly new user even I've noticed a significant change over the past few months and the way it's going I don't think there's gonna be a future for a "community" like this. I know this is probably sounding hypocritical coming from me, I'm not exactly an outstanding user and I like to spark controversy / stir up shit because it amuses me, but I do want this site to be a positive influence on twinking rather than the cesspool people expect it to be.

Solipsist or Agonist or whatever the fuck you want to call yourself, you're not doing anyone any favors by trying to get rid of "censorship" when such a small percentage of the users actually have any complaints about it. I know you think you're some righteous do-gooder trying to fight oppression but you're just making this a less enjoyable place for the majority of civilized people who want INFORMATION ABOUT TWINKS... not trash talk from assholes trying to inflate their ego's.

Lol nobody even plays with you kid. Fuck off #solipsistforpres

I'd say yes to voting in the mods. I have nothing against standing mods, because I have never gotten in a fight with one. But hey it would be an interesting thought

So asking the community to vote for moderators is somehow toxic, what? Why does everyone think I want attention? As I said before I can go a much better way of getting that.

I want a forum that allows you to say whatever you want without some social justice warrior or politically correct asshole saying you can't say this or that. I want free speech not censorship. If you don't like my threads, then don't fucking click on them. You replying to me constantly gives off the impression you want attention from me. Why even bother responding if I post garbage? Like I don't understand you idiots. You call me a child yet you post paragraphs responding to me. Either you do take my arguments seriously or you're doing the same things you accuse me of.

There are forums out there that allow you to state whatever you want and post whatever you want. This forum just is not one of them.
This forum is quite lenient actually compared to most "mature" forums.

Please don't fight guys!

Roboartist recently resigned, and Laurasia also stepped down from modding a little while back. We (the staff) were already discussing who we could promote as Mod to take their place. So, I'm interested in hearing who you guys would like to nominate or suggest as a new Mod.

I haven't personally talked to Myrm yet, so I can't guarantee anything. However, if Myrm does agree with restocking the the number of staff members (especially since even some of our current Mods are really busy with RL, including myself), I think he'd definitely be interested in hearing out the community.

As far as I am concerned, I don't think the populace should vote. We all know how that would go. It would not go to the "best" for the position. People would only pick who they would think would negotiate a "better" position for them and their beliefs on TI. And that is not what a moderator should do. A moderator should follow the ToS. Not their "feelings" or the people the voted them in. If start on the path of voting people in, we must start on the path of voting people out.
What is next? The populace gets to vote for bans as well? All because of how they feel that day...
In addition, moderators have access to information that regular members do not have access to.

/cheers

That is a fair point, but hopefully people should know to take the responsibility given we are allowed to vote for the mods and or admins, to choose not their friends but people who are actually respectable and will follow the CoC not their feelings as you have mentioned. I know a lot of people but not many I would trust for mod sadly.

Seems how in my opinion it's better to get the publics vote rather than a selected few for choice of mods.

Wait, what? Did you really claim that Donald Trump is some sort of social progressive, trailblazing the way for modern freedom of speech?

Yes, I agree censorship is a huge issue, as it has been at any given time historically, in nearly any given society globally. But that guy makes George W. look like a genius. The issue of censorship shouldn't focus on whether or not people can belittle others with derogatory terms on a whim. It's about the ability to share unpopular ideas on a stage. Historically, there was a time where claiming the world is round was a blasphemous and criminal offense.

On-topic: Yes, I think the community should have a say in the nominees selected by TI staff for future moderators.
