Definition of impossible

The Beast Within
If anyone wants to know the definition of impossible, it's trying to solo a 29 Brew Monk

Just had a horrible bg experience, the opposition had 2 x 29 Brew Monks, 29 Huntard, 29 Frost Mage and a 29 Shadow Priest. Needless to say we all assumed the position, bent over and grabbed our ankles

But I have to be honest, I'm quite frustrated as I see no way to take down a 29 Brew Monk (even Vet 20 Brew Monks are damn tough) 1 v 1.

They simply put up that Guard shield and absorb a $hit ton of damage, and even if you're lucky enough to get through that, they hit like a Mack Truck and you don't have anything left in the tank to do anymore damage past that point.

I actually see no way to solo these guys as a Vet, and especially as a Starter.

Anyone have any luck working how to take these dudes down solo?

One of the 29 Brew Monks in that horrible bg whooped 4 of us at once! WTF? He steamrolled me then proceeded to whoop the others around me :(

And if they get anywhere near low health, they have more escapes than Houdini, and can pi$$bolt out of there quicker than Usain Bolt.

Is it possible to solo these monsters in the 20 - 29 bracket? or is it simply impossible!

I myself, on my f2p feral druid, Lennydroodqt, have managed to solo a brewmaster monk. I do admit i had zerker buff.

Either way, that is a matter of an Arena Problem. Not a BG One. I do not see it being a problem in BGs. Because in a BG, if you cannot win by taking control of mid, you've gotta do it objectively.

That being said, you do not need to take down 1 BM monk, let him stay around your GY, and yolo there meanwhile you slay efc and assist your FC in capping that flag.

This i believe is the definition of possible =)!

Horde loves to run FotM comp premades. :)
The past 5 games I've had they've had more or an equal amount of 29 brews to our healers. Not to mention the druids / spriests / hunters.

I think it'd be much more enjoyable for Ally if we'd all band together and get rid of the ungeared F2P Jaja's that plague our teams with some quick and easy AFK reports. #VoteToKickGallywix

I sort of get to a point in a bg, when I have been whooped several times by the same dude, I lose my focus of the objectives and simply want to teach that dude a lesson, and most times I am successul, but not against 29 Brew Monks. It's sort of like, usually once I've dropped them and take their insignia, it's sort of like a dog cranking up it's leg and pi$$ing on them, to mark it's territory so to speak.

I like to show them who's boss!

Then I can settle down and re-focus on the objectives.

Call it tall poppy syndrome, I don't know, I just like to mark my territroy and ensure the opposition knows who the boss is :p

I have a friend that has a 29 Brew Monk, but it's a waste of time trying to duel him to work out how you can take one down. No chance dueling as a 20 vs 29, so I'm lost for ideas about how to take them down. I'm guessing Lennyw you must have got a full stun on the Brewie you took down with your druid. If you did it without the stun, I just can't see how!

A vet can kill a 29 bm.

I! Resto (Aka Poisonhearte) hearby claim victorious of 1v2ing a f2p feral Druid and a 29 BM monk in the 2v2 arenas as veteran fury warrior. My partner was an ungeared Gallywix huntard, but he managed to drop the Ferals health half way. Nothing is impossible if you set your mind to it and strive to achieve it :)

Maybe on a Vet Hunter thats good at kiting?

I only really like to play my Warrior, and it's impossible. Even if I get Crusader procs, and double Wild Strike procs, still not enough to eat the bubble plus then take out the 6k+ health pool, all the while he has healing abilities and stagger that helps him mitigate damage.

Can't even use my Strike of the Hydra to proc the armour debuff as they simply detox it away.

I guess that's what I'm asking about, some ideas about how to take them down 1v1. As a Warrior, I don't seem to have any ideas how to take them down.

I do have a tanking - Stam & Dodge set, and if I switch to Defensive Stance, I can take a fairly decent beating, but my DPS is low.

I'm still fairly new in this bracket. Spent 5 years playing a BM Huntard end game, and worked out counters to all classes at end game, and how to take them down, and I'm slowly doing this now with my Warrior in this bracket, but have hit a wall against BM Monks.

Edit : Just saw your post after I posted this Resto. Shall I delete my Fury Warrior now and start again! Man I feel like a bad!

I solo 29 BMs all the time, it's pretty easy as a hunter cause you can kite for days. Sometimes I have to pop something like drums or void tendrils though.

Lol. You may be right, BM Huntard was quite nasty, and also I didn't loose too many fair fights in world PvP!

Was so tempted to play a BM Hunter Vet but wanted a change. Got a bit dull sitting back watching my Pet do all the work. Wanted to get up close and personal and crack some skulls with swords :p

Thought this was a thread about reasoning with russians.. Sadly another bm post..

I doubt very seriously any of you are capable of grabbing your knees much less your ankles while standing.
Shape up son and give me 50!
