Professions - can we fix them by.......

Hi all, just a quick question regarding Vet professions. Hopefully someone has already tried this and can fill me in.

I was running around Pandaria and went to pick a herb, and it wouldn't let me, saying 'you need 75 Herbalism'. I have 100 Herbalism on my Warrior, plus the Gnomish Army Knife so that brings it up to 110, and that's what it shows on my Professions screen but yet it acts as if I have less than 75.

I'm not sure if this is just a Vet Profession error while in Pandaria, or like the other professions for Vet, it just stuffs up and acts like less than 100.

Question I want to ask is, if I were to drop Herbalism, and then say pick up Mining, then drop Mining and pick up Herbalism again, would it allow me to level it correctly to 100?

Have any Vet's been able to correct their professions in this manner?

Or is there any other way to fix up Vet professions?

I also have the Giant Growth potion but can't actually make it

Vet professions are broken bad.

I'd be interested to know if I re-do my professions whether they would correct themselves and act like F2P professions which at least you can get up to 100, and act like 100.

I have tried this, and still have had the "bug" with regards to vet professions, it appears that there is nothing we can do to change it.

Furthermore, through speaking with multiple gms, most say that this "bug" is working as intended, and what the devs planned. I will note that out of the 5 I spoke to, 1 seemed to think that it was indeed and bug, and sent a bug report to the dev team.

It sucks, but its the cost of having shiny weapons I suppose.

lol - I guess I'll have to settle for picking Peacebloom and Silverleaf only, and making real lame potions. I just don't wanna lose my shiny weapons

lying or not, they dev team clearly knows about the issue and isn't changing how the proffs work for vets anytime soon.

Are you positive it said the word Herbalism? To my knowledge Blizz put a CHARACTER Level 75 requirement for MoP and WoD Nodes. I have tried with 10's with far over 75 in Mining and Herbalism and it doesn't work. I get the error "Requires Level 75".

Aren't giant growth recipes pretty easy to come by now?

isn't it like "you need LEVEL 75" not 75 herbalism? Like character level.

My bad - yes I tested it again last night and it is definitely level 75 character, not herbalism

Still, it's a shame about Vet profs in general.
