A very Crude guide to DMF Faded Map Farming ... (100 DMF Prize Tickets)

Soaps

Legend
This guide will be a cut and paste mess of a guide to getting as many http://www.wowhead.com/item=126930 as you can.
Its gives you a quest which rewards you with 100 Darkmoon Prize Ticket - Currency - World of Warcraft

Since you can only get 1 Faded Treasure Map - Item - World of Warcraft per character (Crystalpall has informed me that its a 1 time only quest) you will be making many alts.

Faded Treasure Map - Item - World of Warcraft
Costs 100 Darkmoon Daggermaw - Item - World of Warcraft
Starts the quest Silas' Secret Stash - Quest - World of Warcraft you must be level 15 to start this quest.
Which rewards you with 100 Darkmoon Prize Ticket - Currency - World of Warcraft

So lets get to the guide.

This guide assumes you have some if not all Heirlooms.

I find that the quickest way to get a character to level 15 is to roll an Undead Hunter.
Why?
Ranged, no need to walk up to targets.
Can attack while moving to cut down on leveling time.
Has additional dps in form of a pet (if you have 5 heirlooms pet is pretty useless as things die fast)
Undead also have most of their quests close to each other when compared to other races.

You'll want Agi and Haste gear.
This is what I use :
Prized Beastmaster's Mantle - Item - World of Warcraft
Champion's Deathdealer Breastplate - Item - World of Warcraft
Charmed Ancient Bone Bow - Item - World of Warcraft
Swift Hand of Justice - Item - World of Warcraft x2
Why Haste? The passive attack speed buff is always active, while Crit is a "chance" to proc.
At these low levels its better to get more shots off than it is to hope you get that big hit.
But to be honest it doesn't matter which you choose, with 3 Agi heirlooms it takes 1 Arcane Shot - Spell - World of Warcraft and 1 auto attack to kill the majority of enemies 90% of the time.

If you dont have any Agi heirlooms just use what you have as long as you have shoulders and chest for the 10% exp buff.

While going from quest giver to quest giver, I like to kill any enemies along the way. There no down time in doing this and it helps speed up the leveling process.
After leaving Deathknell I was already level 7.
Kill Rare Elites if you spot any, they give a good chuck of exp anywhere from 700-1000+ exp.
I was level 10 by the time I got to Brill. I did do some extra kills along the way.
I was level 13 when I left Brill.
Headed to Silverpine Forest next and stopped once I hit 15.

You need to be level 5 to purchase the fishing skill.
Its costs 95 copper.
You need a Fishing skill of 1 to start catching Darkmoon Daggermaw - Item - World of Warcraft but having Fishing at level 25 will decrease the amount of trash you catch.
Open Bloated Thresher - Item - World of Warcraft when you get them, it will contain extra Darkmoon Daggermaw - Item - World of Warcraft and will speed things up.
It took me around 25mins to get 100 starting with a Fishing skill of 1.
http://www.wowhead.com/item=127141 really helps, most http://www.wowhead.com/item=124669 I've gotten from opening is 10.
Use http://www.wowhead.com/item=6529 to help catch less junk (thanks Mysterios)

Once you have 100 Darkmoon Daggermaw - Item - World of Warcraft go ahead and buy the Faded Treasure Map - Item - World of Warcraft from Galissa Sundew - NPC - World of Warcraft shes located by the DMF docks near the Portal back to Thunder Bluff.

Once you have the Map follow the pictures in this link.
The following link is not mine, so I take no credit for it.
http://propanenomad.com/DMF-treasurehunt.png This link has pictures for all the locations needed in the quest.

And thats it, once you finish the quest you'll get 100 Darkmoon Prize Ticket - Currency - World of Warcraft and now you can buy any item you want, no need to wait everyday just to get tickets.

I will be updating this guide with a speed run, as I was typing this up I was also playing the game so I could give exact details instead me of trying to remember things.

TLDR:
To get 100 Darkmoon Prize Ticket - Currency - World of Warcraft
You will need:
* Character level 15
* Fishing level 1 but level 25 is ideal
* Catch 100 Darkmoon Daggermaw - Item - World of Warcraft via Fishing
* Buy Faded Treasure Map - Item - World of Warcraft (Galissa Sundew - NPC - World of Warcraft sells it)
* It gives the quest Silas' Secret Stash - Quest - World of Warcraft
* http://propanenomad.com/DMF-treasurehunt.png This link as picture locations for the quest.
* Complete and you now have 100 Darkmoon Prize Ticket - Currency - World of Warcraft

For another 100 Darkmoon Prize Ticket - Currency - World of Warcraft just make another alt and repeat above process.

I welcome feedback for mistakes or better suggestions ...

P.S. Crystalpall has been nice enough to let me link a vid on the quest itself if the pictures aren't enough.

Nice find, that's a ton of tickets...

Undead has to wait for the Zep... too slow ;) Rolling Troll Priest is really fast. Haste is great, I run both Int trinkets at the start ensure a 1 or 2 hit with Shadow Word: Pain. Switch to haste around level 10.

Immediately leave island and kill everything you see while walking north. Clear the Keep and the water elementals southeast of Razor Hill. North east there is a cave with a rare in it, work your way there and clear that. Rare gives you 1/3 a level. Just dot everything you see, stay in bubble, and basically don't have to stop moving...

Once you hit 10 go immediately to RFC and clear the place. 2 clears should get you 15.

Total time is like 30-40 min.

For Alliance grind the Murlocs at Crystal Lake. they respawn faster then you can click. 1-10 goes really fast, 10-15 someone might have a better suggestion on... I usually grind Westfall.

Nice guide:)
Just like to add that at level 1 fishing, you can just add Shiny Bauble to your fishing pole and you won't catch any junk.

Ha, I remember u back in the rusty days - Alliance had so many good trial bgs and you are one of the very few that made a 24 to help f2ps and actually did so.

Wowhead has the coords for each clue.
Last month the damn quest got bugged out because people were exploiting it. I am not going to state how to do it. But you had access to literally infinate tickets at the chest. So in Blizzard's wisdom they made it where no one could click the chest to open the thing.
At any rate, Starters should be able to get heirlooms each month with no problem now even if they are brand spanking new to the game. All you have to is just keep making new toons over and over for the week and in no time you should have all that the DMF has to offer.

Actually you don't need to wait for the Zep, the DMF teleporter is right next to Undercity FP, so make your HS Brill then fly to UC.

My mistake, i re read and missed your tip about RFC ...

So what exactly has changed in DMF since 6.0? There seems to be a lot of new features.

Vendor that sells a F2P accessible Cooking Feast, Vendor that sells OP potions, new pets, etc.

And maybe the more important question: Do the Fish related cooking foods and the new potions remain after DMF?

Any priest with a target SWP macro is the fastest. You can level to ten inside 30 min. Just straight out skip the starter area and only kill Mobs 4-5+ levels higher than you. And start walking towards RFC/DM.
And from there hit RFC/DM until level 15. Rinse/repeat... Until you have all your heirlooms.
It will take you longer to get the fish and do the quest than it will to actually get to level 15 I would imagine.
I know this is the starter section, but if anyone just happens to see me on AP I have a ton of the fish that I fished up for food. I would be willing to give up if you are a vet/sub. It can be our little secret. :)

Quite a few new achievements, races, versatility food/feast, all kinds of stuff. And a few pets.
I am sure WoWhead has a guide.
The food and the tinctures can be helpful for lowbies. I think my Pandaren got a little over 5% versatility out of both. I do not know if epecurean even effected it or not seeing as it does not effect felmouth frenzy.

Lets hope you didnt do the DMF profession quests as they will reset your skills to 100 ...
And you need a cooking skill level of 300 to learn the big feast table ...

All the big feast does extra is dress your team up. Most people don't even buff up in Battle grounds.
Fancy Darkmoon Feast - Spell - World of Warcraft
Here are the other
Lemon Herb Filet - Spell - World of Warcraft
Sugar-Crusted Fish Feast - Spell - World of Warcraft
Each time I have placed a feast it has gone uneaten.
The really nice thing about the filet is, you get the buff almost immediately. You don't have to sit for 10-15 sec.

Sweetsidney

Fancy table is big, everyone can see it in a big group such as AV. The Fancy buff is also instant.
Sugar crusted is much smaller and in a big group might go unseen or hard to click on.

It is for your party, not raid. That means in a group of 40 people at the crowded gates of AV only four others beside yourself will be eligible to consume it. Leaving 35 clicking. If they even choose or if they see it while they are busy playing with their toys.

OT,
I suppose you could just leave all these level ones in DMF collecting tickets. They would just get teleported out every month.

Oh, my mistake. That makes me sad ...
