Just looted the chest while having AGM/achievement and did NOT get the BoA (not in chest, not in heirloom collection). Not sure why. My guess is that someone opened the chest first and is considered the "champion" (they wanted the music, left me the trinket).
 
Meh..there was never this many idiots waiting for the chest to be placed when i got AGM on any of my toons. Sure it was only players from one server then but seriously wtf! Going old school and attempting one opening while alive, then the rest rezzing on top of the chest. Helps you to see if any stealth classes are hanging around.

Yeah, been hearing that if someone without ach/trinket loots it first (even if they leave items in it) that it disables it for everyone else. Let me know if you try for it again with just the achievement, would like to know if it's possible or not.
 
I can't beleive people are still trying for music scrolls.
I would have thought who have wanted them would have already have gotten them.

I was able to find an empty server using garrison vendor custom groups, and got the BoA on my 19. Same character that opened it second and only got the green trinket, so it looks like you have to be the first to open it, as the chest's contents are based on whoever opens it first.


This begs the question, can a character with AGM/achievement open the chest, take nothing, and then the next person who opens it gets the BoA, regardless of their achievement? I had a situation where I opened the chest, but was killed before my character could auto-loot the items. The person who opened the chest after me got the BoA. I don't know whether or not they had the achievement, but it got me thinking that maybe by me opening it first determined the contents of the chest.



So the BoA may be obtainable by those without AGM as long as a friend opens the chest first and leaves the BoA inside.
 
I've noticed mixed comments on Wowhead about the Guru trinket. One person says they can loot it on another toon so long as they have the Account wide achieve, while others say you need to loot it with the actual toon that has the AGM.

Makes a big difference as it's near impossible to loot with a 20 - 29 twink as all hours of the day or night it's damn full the arena of 100's, well at least on the Oceanic servers. I've still got a bit of paid time left but have been struggling to loot even on my 100 :( Can't even come close with guilds fighting it out, all with their DPS & Heals combos, and poor old me on my only 100, out of practice because I've been twinking in recent times.........

Is there anyone on TI that has looted on a character without the AGM, but with the achieve? I'd like to know if it's guaranteed drop with the achieve only?

Anything else anyone has learned would be good to know in hoe I can go about obtaining this trinket!
 
It appears that there is still no clarity on how exactly the chest works now. I have the achievement and agm trinket on one character, but opened the chest with another char (linked to the first one, so it has the achievment too) but it didn't have the Defending Champion :(

It HAS to be the toon u got the agm on tho
 
Leek's got it right. Can only get the heirloom on the CHARACTER you got the achievement on. The achievement is NOT account wide.
 
No idea if someone is crazy enough to try this, but what happens if u try to loot the trink on a toon that has sold his/her agm?
 
You have to unlocked the achievement on the toon with turning in the 12 agms to obtained your twink AGM in order to get Defending champion BOA, regardless if you have the Agm on you or in your bank or having deleted it doesn't matter.

This also is the samething with Darkmoon Boa.
