Rate my MW - haste build.

Yea haste is like the worst stat you can stack on mistweave lol. Max spellpower everything, crit and spirit.

Your heals are instant while channeling... Haste would only get you a partial tick. OK a faster channel and gcd but not worth the trade off.

Vers for your chants.

I summon the powa of Snowjobs for the maths, he has them somewhere.

As long as you are under 50% haste, haste is the best stat to get on all healer specs. You can think of the GCD as a cast time for MW.

With 0% haste you have 1.5 second GCD or 1.5 second cast time. At 50% haste your GCD is 1 second, so really haste is just as useful for a MW as it is for any other class.

I know this is the 20-29 bracket but in the 19s armory thread you can see all 3 MW's using haste enchants.

I smell maths. :O
Anyways Mw is a very interesting animal in how its heals work. Mw’s get a passive at lvl 46 ish that allows them to convert int into AP and haste to reduce the GCD. Also their surging mist is currently bugged and only scales off of AP not sp. Not a big deal at end game since they have the passive at lvl 46 but in the lvl 19 bracket it really screws them up because no matter how much int you stack it doesn’t increase surging mist healing.
So what does this mean?
Well lets look at each move real quick to get a better understanding.
Soothing mist
Benefits from haste linearly because its channeled
Benefits from int
Surging mist
0 benefit from haste because no lvl 46 passive
0 benefit from int
Enveloping mist
Benefits from haste linearly because no lvl 46 passive.
benefits from int.

I just talked to neap and he said in a recount that surging made up about 20-30% of his total healing
Alright now here’s what u gone do.

^ DL that spreadsheet. And follow the directions in the thread. EXCEPT make sure you put 1 in the haste column instead of 2
Go into the equation for total haste multiplier. It should be :
=(1+(0.0022*I3+L3)*(1+J3))^K3
Change it to
=(1+(0.0016*I3+L3)*(1+J3))^K3
I cant find a quick fix for the int issue but if you do that it should still be fairly accurate
Maximise that with your stats and it should give you an idea on what will give you the best heals.

TLDR:haste is .0022% per rating (base ). If we say that its 70% effective (due to the range of healing surging does I got from neap) u get .00154 % per rating. Versatility happens to be .0015% healing per rating and .00075% damage reduc per rating. So short of the long gear for high haste and enchant versatility and that will give you the best over all results.Avoid trading int for crit or multistrike unless u can get around 4 crit per int you give up.

I am at work right now so I cant go into more detail or make a exact spreadsheet but yeah . there you have it folks

I require 100% more math for this.

I'll see if I can look at it tonight and post what I find.

I started with full vers. The extra healing and mitigation is nice, but the haste's change in GCD alone suits my personal preference better. And the full value of my channeled heals about 2 seconds sooner (which it's around now) can be clutch when FC getting dogpiled.

Ty for the summon!

Also at work, but I appreciate the link, I'll delve deeper when I have a chance!

Thanks for all the feedback so far, everyone!

just a note but im currently talking with neap and he believes that there may be a tooltip error and that haste does in fact reduce the gcd below lvl 45 . If this is the case then haste is by far the better choice hands down. Ill keep you posted on how things turn out :O

You really should try and get a BoE glove and get glove reinforcements. Even if you decide not to use them you will always have them.
As usual, I like to have a nice heavy stamina set up since heals are focused. I chose preened shoulders and the spidersilk boots with minor speed. For wrists I went with MTB and haste enchant. As Alliance you could even go for Hovel diggers if you were on a budget. I use the satchel belt of the vision and for rings Argas with haste and DPR with versatility. I actually carry two DPRs one with haste and one with versatility, but I usually use the versatility one. Once you get to a certain point of haste it ceases to help as much.
As someone mentioned though, MW are a different animal. It is very very easy to go OOM on a MW because of the instant cast. Once you go OOM you only have soothing mist to rely on since you are mana starved. And you are going to want all the haste you can muster for as little mana use as possible. So I just swap a few pieces of gear around to maximize my output.
Have fun with that monk!

I have MT bracers and magefist with reinforcements. I wanted to try full leather for better damage absorb but any smart team will focus so stam will likely go further. And taking that whole bit about 4 crit ~ 1 int in mind, maybe I'll re-shuffle items and chants for higher int/stam as well as haste and/or vers.

Ty sir
