Pretty smart of Blizzard to wait until token release of you ask me. It was all part of their master plan. All of those rare pet and mount sellers came out the woodwork when tokens were announced. Do you think that went unnoticed? Tokens were released. Many of the botters that had been sitting on mounds of gold bought 6 months worth of tokens for each account. Blizzard waited until EU court hearing ends then BAM! Releases Arthas...
Many of the botters are already paid up for 6 months prepaid and if they are not it does not matter, it comes right off a CC. In addition, many WoW players are addicts. Those players, or in the case of farmers, will just pay Blizzard for another sub and continue the monthly fee x2.
What will happen to queue times is the question. And what will happen in six months when all those account come back online?

Whoa someone fill me in!!

Last night Blizzard banned about 100,000 accounts. The primary culprit was using honorbuddy. Apparently Blizzard had been scanning for a couple weeks.
It is my speculation that this was time timed. Most certainly because of the EU court case. And some of it is surely because of the timing of the release of tokens. As well as the release of new PvE content and a new PvP season. And the release of Q1 numbers. All the stars have aligned for maximum benefit.

/cheers

What's the EU court case? Did it have to do with EULAs not being legally binding in the EU?

Anyway, this is why I alway made my own wpvp bots.

The EU court case I was referring to was concerning Bossland GmbH. They sold/sell virtual Diablo gold. They also sell/make/distribute Honorbuddy. Blizzard lost the case a week ago. Now, it is not as if they can just whip up a way to rid us of all those bots in just a week if they wanted to or they would have already done it wouldn't they. Well, wouldn't they? lol

/cheers

Any links ?

+100000players*$15*6months=+$9000000 loss of monies for blizzard..

Ouch.....I could use DAT kind of monies

makes good sense haha i was beginning to think that blizzard was too busy doing something else like working on another game etc and not enforcing their rules. this had an effect on me lol im not gonna say that i was going to start letting the computer play for me but it did influence me in that i was beginning to think " hey everyone else is doing it i should do it too" so i guess they had the idea of sniffing out as many botters as possible to be 100% sure that they are botting and then smash them with the ban hammer

or something like that lol

Yeah, I read up on it a little bit, looks like Blizzard is a more than little resentful at its loss in court.
