Discipline Priest

Nice to see a fresh and new F2P player joining our ranks. :)

Your gear is not the best, but you're on the right track.

Keep in mind that a disc priest needs to stack haste, stamina and intellect. So just like your cloak, you need the satchel belt of the sorcerer. And maybe the haste chest item from Blackfathom Deeps.

Another good chest item is Fallen Apprentice's Robe. The 1 int/1 stam scales to 13/13 in battlegrounds.

Both the honor heirloom staff and shoulders are good choices for their haste.

The first heirloom you should buy is the staff, so untill you can buy the loom shoulders, you should use Feline Mantle or Mourner's Stole.

Also, Ring of Pardons, a quest reward you obtained earlier is the best in slot ring for most casters.

Silk-Threaded Trousers as leg item.

Look up these items on Wowhead.com for their drop locations.

thanks for the feedback, my current goal is to loot magefist gloves, and magicians mantle first. then the arena trinkets and lucky fishing hat.

once I get some honor i'll try out those heirloom shoulder and staff, the pvp ones.

I've got the ring of pardons banked, I just like these two for now.

bump, my priest is now a shadow priest and has a weather beaten fishing hat! The engineering goggles seem to be better but its nice to own a cloth hat :)

shadow priest damage seems to scale pretty low, maybe having to do with my lack of heirloom equipment.

go back disc, you're missing out on literally everything that makes spriests viable by being 20. you won't have mind blast, devouring plague, shadow form, or vampiric touch. you will be able to do way more dmg as disc, and you'll still hit like a wet noodle as a 20 spriest even if you are bis.

thanks for this, I am back on the team as discipline, I notice many priest selecting spectral guise, when my first choice seems to be angelic bulwark

somebody in battleground tried explaining to me that the kellers girdle is better than a girdle of nobility. Is this because of the 20-29 scaling of stats in battlegrounds? or is this false information.

Recently obtain the rune of perfection and insignia of the horde advisors ring and battle healers cloak.

i think spectral guise is the only viable talent for priests at low lvls. angelic bulwark should only heal for 300 (assuming you have 2k health in a bg since you're 1.7k outside) which is too low to be worthwhile imo. spectral guise is just so much better for preventing your death as you can use it similarly to shadowmeld to dodge starsurges and sheeps and whatnot as well as set up war stomps out of thin air.
i don't play 20-29 too much so idk about gear scaling but kellers girdle probably scales to more int than nobility but i'm not sure the scaling, there should be a thread somewhere in the 20 section that has all the scaling.for all the gear.
