20 Veteran Questions - BiS, Professions, etc.

I'm thinking about making a 20 twink with the intention of eventually going veteran, so I'm here with two questions.

Is there anything specific I should do before reverting to F2P?

If I'm fully enchanted/BiS, what professions would be ideal to leave at 150/225 when going back to F2P? What are the advantages and disadvantages?

1. not really anything you should do that you dont probably already know about. you cant use high level enchant scrolls when your sub runs out so no point making extra.
2. engineering is the only profession that is useful to keep at 225 if you want to use the engineering helms or parachute cloak (unconfirmed that you can still use them once your sub runs out). though not useful if you are just planning to use the heirlooms. you definitely cant create items that require more than 100 profession skill once your sub runs out so no point having other professions more than 100.

You can plan ahead and get multiple enchanted sets of gear. A set of heirlooms enchanted with each "gift of" enchant. Several boots with different enchants, weapons, gloves, bracers... Don't forget your shoulders some of those take rep. Enchants are always changing. Practically every patch/hotfix some enchants need to be updated. I am always toying around with enchants. All part of proper twinking. Spending tens of thousands of gold on gear and enchants. Although, now the Gift enchants are much cheaper.

Your professions will be capped at 100 upon going f2p, so I'm betting you cant use your maxed profs at all. Otherwise stack up on consumeables, get different item sets and dont forget to empty your mail

You cant use for instance "Gift of Haste" enchant scrolls after your sub runs out if you have them in your bag?

Old info but yes scrolls do not work, you have to enchant everything before your time expires and people can keep using their paracloaks; only crafting gets limited not using items.

I disagree, get jc and get engi. You still need these at max level to use the items created while subbed, just like first aid.

nope. Once your sub runs out, you are starter acc and they don't let you enchant high lvl enchants
