Resto Druid Haste vs. Vers

  • Hi all!

As the title states, for resto druids, what do you guys think is more beneficial, haste or versatility? I know rdruids aren't the most effective healers at 19 but I feel as though an offensive resto druid healing the FC could be quite effective.

Any and all advice is appreciated!

haste defo, I also use a bit of spirit in BGs so I dont go oom

EDIT: check out my druid in sig if you want to see what im rocking

I say haste. Personally, I find resto druids to be very underpowered healing wise. Then again, whenever I am healing, I'm playing my resto shammy so anything should feel UP when compared to that.

When I'm playing my resto druid it's very hard to counter any serious burst in my opinion. Although having 1 resto druid on your team isn't bad to counter dots or fill in healing gaps, I feel as though the ability to root, go kitty to rock an efc, prowling or that annoying aoe to try to catch stealthies is very valuable in WSG and imo when done right, those are the abilities that make resto druids huge assets to their teams. However, it can be very frustrating solo queuing on one because most games nobody on Horde will touch the flag or Horde will lack potent and focused healers.

This is the first time I've played druid since WOTLK so it's very different. What I've found is if you're taking damage and don't have a LOS, you're pretty much dead. Where as on my shammy I can easily outheal 2-3 dps sitting on me, on my resto druid it's hard to outheal 1-2 serious DPS.

Just my opinion on them atm. I know some people who have been maining druid do just fine, but I rarely see these people play games and get unlucky and have a poor comp.

wtb more effectively useful rdruids, theyve been no where to be seen with my own eyes thus far

edit: not to sound offensive just want 2 see more rdroids out there mastering their craft, not going into kitty for hopeful bite KB's in BG while teammates fall, cuz thats not useful if its not the FC and resulting in return

    i miss rubn

unfortunately rdruids r better at dpsing than healing these days

idd but if spec'd resto im psure not having people die usually more effective than going offensive in melee range as relatively squishy target, since it would b better to just go feral then, wouldnt it be??

Thank you all for the advice! I know resto druids aren't 'top of the chart' heals at the moment, but I have a rusty 19 druid with plenty of gf'd gear including infernos and jutebraids, so I'd like to at least utilize him. I'm going to try out haste and see how much of a difference it makes. Thanks all!
