Shadowfangs vs BoA (BiS)

Legend
For monks or anyone in general,

is dual-wield shadowfang still BiS ?

oorrr

Have people tried out BoA?

Need some opinions on what to use? Maybe some people mix it up?

for windwalker claws are bis overall the minor damage you gain from fangs isnt worth the loss in 8 stam not too sure on BM but would assume claws as well

what makes claws better than boa maces or swords

weapon speed... monk autos actually hit fairly hard so the more autos > slightly better then 2 more weapon damage

rusks explanation made sense, this one really doesnt

the more autos you get from a faster weapon like boa claw will give more damage then the slight topend weapon damage increase from boa mace/sword

r u aware of the fact that the damage ur autos get from ur ap depends on ur weapon speed? lol

no i wasnt... then no idea why theyre better but theyre better ive done testing i just assumed it was because of that

2 things you have to consider, besides my trolling.

1. Do you have access to 2 shadowfangs for ready use?

2. Are you willing to lose a considerable amount of survivability to use said shadowfangs?

From what I see, the auto attack damage increase dosent seem to be large enough to warrant a mediocre loss in surv. I also have only looked at the items in comparison and haven't actually crunched any numbers. I would be interested to see dps change and the difference in raw melee hits if anyone has run those tests

there is no difference betweens claws/maces/swords for ww or bm monks, whether shadowfang is better than the looms is another matter. 1 Agility generally is worth between 5 and 6 crit right now in damage and about 3-4 haste. Shadowfang probably does give the most dps but whether you value dps or stamina more is your choice. Also bare in mind that shadowfang costs a fuck load and takes a long time to farm for.

I'd roll with BOAx2 weapons over SFx2 for monk.

You're gaining a huge amount of stats by pairing 2 boas. You're gaining haste, crit, and stamina at the loss of only a few agility and a shadow bolt proc. It makes more sense to have more stamina on a monk (seeing as how you can't get around WSG while in stealth) you're going to take more damage and every little bit can add up to help you get back in range of your healers before you're dropped. Imo, monks already do more than enough damage so I'd rather have more stam, crit, and haste than just pure AP anyways.

But I mean, if you're able to do so, you just GOTTA have that SFx2 mog on a monk!

Monk: BoA's

Rogues: dual SF for the single course of shadowbolt procs and the AP you get due to combat AP passive buff
