Possible Heirloom Tab exploit?

On the PTR it will let us take out a bunch of heirlooms from the tab for free and it actually will let us sell them to the vendors for 37+gold each time we sell them to a vendor. If this goes live, then people can make a lot of gold off of this exploit.

edit: seems to work with helmets like tatered dreadmist mask, works with leg heirlooms, works with cloak heirlooms.
does not work with: trinket heirloom, weapon heirlooms including garrosh staff, and shields

I thought they charged several hundred gold per BOA? (I'm not on the PTR)

I'm 99% sure that if BOAs are free on the PTR, it is just so people can experience the tab for free on the PTR and it wouldn't make it to live.

Its letting me pull boa's from my heirloom tab, and on the heirlooms they have no price on them except the "head" heirlooms which are worth 37g. Not sure if its meant to be pulled out of the tab for free, but thats what its letting me do right now and it seems that i can pull my BOA staff (garrosh staff) from my tab also.

Yeah I'm thinking that right now on the PTR they're not charging but live they will be.


As for the Garrosh staff.... Now that's a HUGE deal as those were not meant to be included! Makes me really wish that I farmed a few (but was on tour since June and just came back T-T)

I was suprised too, I see that the heirloom leg pieces are also worth gold to vendors too.

cloaks sell price right now are 30g, chest heirlooms have no vendor price, same with shields, weapons, trinkets, and heirloom garrosh staff.

I'd like to point out that it's on the Public Test Realm so that you can test such things and report them so they can be fixed. It isn't the Public Find Exploits and Keep Them Quiet Realm.

All of the heirlooms are supposed to be able to be pulled out of your heirloom tab and into your inventory. What they're not supposed to be after that is sellable for gold to vendors. Whether that's a genuine bug or oversight, or just something they didn't worry about as they were throwing the PTR together, either way the right and ethical thing to do is to fill out a bug report and give them a chance to fix it.

They wrote on either MMO-C or Reddit that they were away that you currently could sell some of the helms / legs but that hadnt fixed it yet, so I highly doubt they will just "forget about it" however there has just been a savage blood dupe and now a gold dupe so the prices on gold are down to 0.10-0.30$/k if you know some ppl.
 
Even though it's the ptr, this should have been addressed.

Even back when boa tab was merely a wish of ours, I thought about that issue. Once learned (given if they are learnable) they should not be refunded.

They will not be refundable... People and blizz have written that multiple times

I know, but how old is that boa tab build that is currently on the ptr? If it's recent, then blizzard is obviously procrastinating or not thinking ideas through. If they are old builds, then the question remains: why are they giving us old stuff to test? That seems pointless as their new builds could be unaddressed.

I know blizzard is aware of it, but that doesn't mean they were before the ptr was updated. Ya catch my drift?

Now I sure as hell know blizz won't let such a massive exploit go live, but that could go either way.
1: it gets fixed quickly and we all get our tab soon
2: they push it back to a future patch as they have been.
