Magic Broom After Hallows End?

So I've logged on to my monk, Hallows End is finished here in Aus, not sure about anywhere else sorry. And all my brooms were deleted, but I still had a gift box from the daily, I opened it and there was a broom in it, and it's ride-able, wondering if this is a bug, or if it will continue to work after logging out. (Too scared to try logging out, will eventually tho, its way to convenient in arenas)

Just something I thought was interesting.

Yeah just AFK'd over dinner, got auto logged out and its gone from my bags but I'm still mounted on it hahaha.

I had that on several characters. It was tempting to stay mounted, but that kind of limits what you can do.
