Hello, my name is Redruby and I play in the F2P bracket to have fun.

 • I seek to assist in creating a community for skilled, experienced or knowledgeable players, who are willing to pass their knowledge on to those newcomers who are themselves motivated to learn.
 • I am willing to invest my time and mind to achieve this, in proportion to the time and energy contributed by other members of the community.
 • I play at the soft-cap of the 20-29 bracket, going so far as to delete my 20 monk from my paid account in order to recreate it as a true F2P, despite the fact that this will require considerable work to regain access to multiple heirloom items I previously had (I actually farmed for 2 sets of monk/rogue heirlooms on my paid account, because I got fed up with having to swap them between my p2p monk and my 20 P2F2P monk).
 • I will consider hosting a mumble server (plus forums, plus wiki) for others interested in the endeavour of promoting F2P, although primarily focusing on the needs of new players. Said forums would be nothing like TI's, promotion and seniority being based on 'signal to noise ratio'.
 • I am a misanthropic old fart (old, at least when compared to most F2P players), who refers to TI as douchebag central, and who can't stand many PvPers due to their apparent need to turn everything into a pissing contest (in a pack of monkeys the males fight each other to become the alpha, and have access to all the females. I find it hilarious that there are plenty of guys who act like being the best at a video game will somehow have the same result. This male gamer reversion to primate behaviour explains #Gamergate perfectly).
 • The last thing I want is the responsibility of leadership, but sometimes your skillset means you end up doing things because other people aren't available who can fill the same position (*that quote from Spiderman*).
 • I am willing to subscribe. At least as much as is necessary to keep the addon working, but more likely because having a flying passenger mount and a character to boost yourself with is damn convenient (and then you feel guilty about supporting your F2P with your P2P, and go and help a bunch of other people). Because of this I don't consider my F2P's 'pure', even though they haven't been linked to my paid account.

...experienced, skilled or knowledgeable...

Good point.

I too balk at leadership. I cannot always count on myself to refrain from abrasive conduct with those I disagree with. I don't always regret it either! With that said, patience and concise articulation are qualities I wish to improve.

We all have different strengths and weaknesses. I'd like to take time to consider the contributions made today before advancing further.

I'd be willing to lead a community. I just don't see any communities where I could see myself investing the vast amounts of time and energy into leadership.

I'm hoping this thread is leading into something :3

No offence, Activate but you need to label a clear point when you make a thread like this, many people are confused about what they are voting for.

Activate, could you clarify the intended purpose of this thread?
