You can report people for language, when there's a language filter available? You can report players for spamming when you can ignore? But you cant report players for stalling player's leveling experience, camping lowbies, or any other type of torment?

On the other side of things, when reported, Shouldn't blizzard always discuss and try to resolve the issue before laying down the hammer for false reports? The other day, I was on a 3 hour ban for supposedly disrupting trade chat, and I was banned within 10 or so minutes, when I was simply trying to sell an item, while everyone else is disrupting the chat with non trade related discussion. And it comes to show nobody overviewed what was going on before judgment.

But if I'm in the wrong doing, let's just let everyone have the ability to report and persuade a mislead GM to ban anyone they set eyes on. I've even seen videos of unprofessional GM's banning people for false accusations, or small things such as gold returns.

Opinions? Arguments? GM Defense? Discuss.

3 hr ban who cares

btw, camping lowbies etc is considered world pvp so not bannable.
 
i see people Wtb or Wts *insert here* in the LFG and General chat

but you get a 3hr ban for selling something on the trade chat?

You have been reported by multyple people and got yourself a 3 hr ban which you probably deserved cause of spamming chat. If enough players report you in that chat, blizzard has enough proof that you were spamming and can see that very quickly in the chat logs and act. It is not a thing GM's will and come talk with you about or give warnings. You know what you did was wrong and my best bet is that you spammed so much because others were doing that also and made you feel that yours aint going to have alot attention.

Robo you QQ alot. If you don't like the things blizzard does go make suggestions on the official forums just like with that gurubashi arena change thing. You have to take the things how they are and they are not going to change things because mr Robo doesn't likes it.

Ah, so you come to another one of my threads. I see you have a thing for me. And I wasn't spamming chat. I Had a macro that I would use once a minute, as trade would go a hundred miles per hour. I made a a notification and an in game suggestion about the issue already. And for what I was informed afterwards, it was one report.

This thread is 3 days old, let it settle.

I know already where you are comming from, trying to make stuff up and the proof is the first line of the quote so why would I take you even serious on what you tell me now eh? you want us to believe you got 1 report and got a 3hr ban. Don't make me laugh.

Im saying, if someone had a beef with me, as you do right now, but in game, right click>ignore
 
I have been suspended before from commenting in Trade chat. Not spam, but apparently insulting someone. In fact I had reported someone else for insulting me over trade chat, but I had obviously retaliated and not realized. GM's didn't look at the entire situation at all, they saw we both broke the rules, and banned us both.

I agree with Leo when he says that it wasn't a sole report, or someone who had 'a beef' with you; but more likely a whole bunch of people just annoyed at you spamming. You won't ever know the real reason, so I don't think it's worth bringing to the forum, people are just gonna say you deserved it :p

You know spamming is bannable, you did it, you got reported, you got banned. It doesn't matter about the coulda woulda shoulda's.
