not in the same league as explosive > arcane > arcane, but how many of us are that skilled.

Because the only relevant thing in arenas is which spell hit's the hardest, movement and positioning are completely nullified in the 24s bracket, duh. And there's no way that an increased importance could be placed on something as irrelevant as movement and positioning in a bracket filled with such huge burst. Nah, couldn't be anything like that.


i often over estimate them.

It's okay, this game has jaded even the best of us.

I don't quite think you understand haha. The sheer fact that you can hit someone for 90% of their HP with one ability negates any form of competitive, or strategic excuse that you can think of.

That doesn't happen if your geared properly unless your a glass cannon and don't have a healer with you, there are plenty of environmental and spell counters to huge burst, like huge healing, LoS (that movement thing I mentioned), also there's things we like to call bubbles, speed potions, CC. All these things are usable to cope with large burst. In things like areans and premades people like to set these other things called rules, that way you don't have to much burst, so it works out nicely really if you actually think about it - balance is attainable in this bracket, if you know what your doing.

For example consider this strategic counter

I'm healing an FC, he gets sapped mid way up the tunnel, oh no what should i do? wait for the ambush? or spam heals on the FC so he can soak it? HMM IDK MAYBE AFTER THAT I SHOULD CLEANSE HIM. Seems to work most of the time when it comes to countering large burst.

Oh hey theres 3 hunters in mid field, maybe I should flank them? Nah. Flip the map? nope, wait for my team, no way.

The occasional hunter or rogue stacked PuG isn't that bothersome to me, I like to que with 5 anyway when I pug except in the AM.

I agree with Conq, you're narrow minded. If you gear properly you won't be 1 shot. unless what said above. Position in 24 arenas are key. It's not like 90's it takes more skill @ 24 when trying to LOS or avoid certain situations, you have to synergize as a team. to avoid being 1 shot, yeah the god comp can 1 shot people but you can do things to prevent it.

Lol @ "24s and end game are just different". If by different you mean 1 takes infinitely less skill than the other, then yes, I agree.
