Returning to the 19 bracket, haven't twinked since TBC.

Hey all, new here!

I used to be an extreme 19 twink addict back in vanilla/TBC, probably had 20 twinks.. Most of which were rogues with shadowfangs/agm/fishing gear etc, I deleted them late wotlk iirc. Oh how I miss them, I've tried ticketing GM's tons of times but to no avail

Now with WoD-prepurchase I boosted a lock and got 600 enchanting, I started farming old vanilla enchants like crusader and then it struck me, I need/want to go back to 19 twinks.

I played on several servers, but mostly Khadgar EU Horde, had rogues on both horde & ally. I remember some names from back in the days, Vaj! Lindenkron, Siccori etcetc.
Is the 19 twink bracket still alive? What's the best server for 19 twinks?

What's BiS for 19 rogues now?
I'd also love if I could get oldschool 19 rogue armories, pre-heirlooms! Wish they'd remove heirlooms so twinking would be more fun, but oh well
I remember talbar mantle being the shoulders of choice, wingblade.. shadowfang/assassin's blade etc.

Is shadowfang still BiS? How rare is it? Is it worth farming?

And with skirmishes returning once again in WoD, I think twinking will be awesome & more alive again!

I'm assuming you're referring to EU. My understanding is they have scattered pops every few weeks or so. You'll have to get in more with the community for that. US right now are getting pops every few weeks on a scheduled basis. Battlegrounds are merged as you may/may not know so the only bonus on being a 19 twink populated server (very, very few) the only bonuses would be guilds. You can real ID group for duels, world PvP etc.

What's BiS for 19 rogues now?

Right now Assassination rogues stacking crit with Elemental Force x2 is insane. Every mutilate takes about 1/3 of a player's health pool. It's a different bracket now... Not a whole lot is left of the old school style.

Subtlety rogues do just fine as well but are by no means as ridiculous as EF Mute.

I miss seeing everybody running through mid, hunters with the boar, priests, rogues warriors, everyone with LFH or Green Tinted + Talbar + Blackend Defias Armor + Glowing weapon enchants.

Shadowfang is only bis for subtlety rogues.
They are still crazy, crazy rare and no it's not worth farming.

They cost about 100k on average or roughly $125

I'm pretty much just prepping it for WoD.

Can anyone tell me which enchants are best, now that they scale? I see alot of rogues with elemental force, and some are still rocking 15 agility on shadowfang. Is 15 agility still BiS? Or is mongoose/jade spirit better? What about lifestealing/crusader/fiery weapon, are they now useless?

-Life-stealing can sometimes be used right with weapon switching, e.g for survivability and such, I've even seen colossus (absorb damage) being used in situations.

Good luck, no reason not to try all the decent ones out for yourself, but start with the cheaper ones.

Ah no problem.

DS beats Mongoose pretty obviously. But compared to 15 agi, it depends on your build, assuming you're going heirlooms because of no fangs, no reason not to have multiple, not too much extra effort.

And yeah, I wish we could transmogrify enchants, going for a TBC 19 mog on my 24 rogue (my TBC 19)

I miss 2007's 19 twinks so much, hope the bracket gets a little life back into it in WoD with skirmishes return etc!

What levels specifically are weird to you?

And yeah, without a doubt, skirmishes, unless Blizzard fuck them up for us (they shouldn't) the bracket will be lively, it's just a matter of it staying that way.

Summer may bring more activity though.

Levels like 14, 20, 24.. I just miss seeing 19 twinks everywhere I guess. Strolling down memory lane too much!

I know what you're saying, maybe one day it'll happen again, but either way it won't be the same, not to say it won't be fun if activity picks up again, but it won't feel like it did, or at least how you think you remember it.

10-14 are trying to pick up activity, reason for playing the bracket is just, the fact people do, it's low level, as 19 was before, but when they split the brackets 19 wasn't the "low", that's what attracts some people to it.

With 20-24, it's different. There isn't a 10 day trial anymore, trial accounts last forever but have limits. Limits such as no mail, no leveling past 20. When they hit 20 they are classed as XP locked and are so in XP locked BGs. It's harder than other brackets to gear (apart from some big RNG aspects like SF etc.), for example for looms they have to farm honor in BGs, convert it and buy it themselves. Some people like that challenging aspect, some play it because it's free, no subscription required. Either way those and other factors make it the currently most active low level PvP bracket. But obviouslly F2Ps aren't twinks (depending on how you define it), the whole idea of twinking was to have that distinct advantage over the majority, that's where 24s come in, more abilities, more gear, more stats. Even with scaling happening in BGs, 24s still out-stat F2Ps.
