Fire Mage question?

Hi I wanna start a F2P Fire Mage and I wanna know if its possible for a lvl 20 mage to get 25% Crit. If not what's the highest obtainable crit %?

DAM! bringing the heat with those gfd walking boots man I dig

I'm fairly sure the mob still is in game and still has them as a drop. There is a mage on my cross realm that has been in deadmines at her spawn spot (presumably because she farms her) for months. It's a rare mob with an extremely low drop rate.

In regards to fire, it's certainly viable... Sort of. Not exactly per-say in battlegrounds, but in an arena or maybe a duel, it's quite possible to be effective.

Polymorph (presumes no other DoTs/trinkets/etc that can break the poly), frost nova (does no longer break polymorph), Hard cast Pyroblast, PoM Pyroblast (Uses it in the same global as the Hardcast Pyroblast), -hope for double crit-, Hot Streak Pyroblast.

It's something like 1150 damage (or about 1400 if you're lucky enough to get the HS Pyro to crit).

For this build, you would basically want to be going full Crit + Intellect.

90+% is more than close enough for clutch shatters.

Assuming you're being pocket healed you could always try to get the arc int buff, rallying cry, int scroll (if you dont want to deal with herbing then alching for wisdom pots), and with that you could be able to adjust your gear set for more int/stam/haste

Fire mage Nevmind Fire - Last Twink Video - YouTube

Back when there was Scorch but still excellent positioning and CC. Nice use of Engineering frills to give himself time to cast.

If you go Fire spec into Blazing Speed. GL, its rough.

I was desperatly looking for videos of Fury warriors, Enhan shammies, Fire mages and Afflilocks.

People simply don't like the extreme underdogs. Mage life is harsh as it is. I do feel the urge to make one tho. c:

Explain me the highlights of frost and fire pls. Fire goes crit, i can see that. What about Frost?
Arcane really doesn't interest me. :c

Frost goes basically what I do. SP with some crit. There's been a few that have gone haste but it's not very good. I'd only recommend it if you were stam stacking and focused SOLELY on CC

I don't get the obsession with crit. You should be casting Fireball and using FB for crits IF you get lucky. If you're running around trying to fish pyro procs you're hurting your team. IE: Don't tax your healers with 3 stam 3 crit gloves.

Yeah, people don't realize that primary stats are going to be better 99% of the time.

For instance, taking Solder's Cloak over Sorceror (Or battle healers) is hurting your damage. The 4 crit rating is not going to beat the 4 intellect. Ever.

Fire should prioritize getting crit to 20% or higher, though. The idea being that you're maximizing your ability to get the pyro procs which are your main sources of burst.

But no, you should never be cutting out your Primary Stat in exchange for a secondary stat.

Agreed. 20%, then primary. Unless you have only a crit nuke and absolutely nothing in between (ret paladin).

I thought the whole idea behind fire mage was to go full retard? In which case totally gimping yourself makes sense.
