Hi I am currently working on a p2p mage. I played in the f2p bracket for a long time and its time to upgrade.

I needed to know what BiS enchants are and why so I can start buying them ;P

You are certainly going to get many opinions on this question. But two that won't change are sapphire spellthread to pants and either aldor or scyers to shoulders. Myself I would pick aldor.

Along with what was mentioned above, you're going to want Frost Power to Gloves, Soulfrost on your weapon or a secondary weapon (some people prefer Power Torrent), Healing Power to Bracers, and I personally like Surefooted to boots.

Chest and Cloak Enchants are preference in my opinion. Stam or Stats on chest, Crit Intellect or PvP Power to cloak.

The greater inscription of discipline (Aldor) scales to 14sp/8 crit. Where as the greater crane wing inscription scales to 8sp/4 crit. The crane wing is a great alternative if you do not have access to either Aldor or Scryers. For the most part BC enchants will scale the best for our level. There are always a few exceptions, of coarse. With all the new enchants it opens up a plethora of possibilities on how we can tweak our toons. You may even want to try out some haste enchants. There is no telling what is BiS for YOU. You may play your mage different than anyone else. /cheers

Use rune of perfection to cap hit and swap your bracer enchant to 15 spellpower.
