Here is my lvl 20 hunter. I also have a set of Foreman's gloves for the expertise. At the moment this toon is survival. I have been thinking of giving Beast Mastery a whirl.

Here's a pretty viable setup too, it's level 22 but the gear is same as 20. Flintlockes or +30 haste might be better for weapon, idk experiment by yourself.

Pet cap so important lol
Anyways, switch to loom bow if you're worried about pet attacks, I don't see them giving enough benefit though.

Who is saying anything about pet hit cap? It is your toon which is just hit capped for fighting same levels outside bg. But sure you go ahead and switch your gun to bow for all i care and gimp yourself of other more important stats.

How is it not hitcapped? 3% is hitcap, I am at 3,71%. You living in past expansions?

Don't forget you are looking at non scaled stats. Plus, as mentioned before, any twink worth their salt carries multiple sets of gear. I have more than one weapon with different scopes and even a couple DPRs that thanks to the hotfix that I can switch to ALL of my twinks. Go Blizzard!!

P.S. Now, what the OP can do is take a look in the F2P section. There are some really nice hunter guides there. And just modify them to suit your own specific taste and style.

just a quick question, what are the benefits of being hit and expertise capped atm? Aside from an upside to dps and hitting crucial concuss shots etc, does it really make THAT much of a difference?

As I am aware nothing changed recently and you still have to stack hit as you were a 24 in bg. You don't have that, you have this:
outside-inside. 1 hit difference cause of dpr taken on my 20 but doesnt make a difference to make my point.
But what am i seeing wrong then if you say i live in past expansions. Does these stat sheet lie?
Ofc i know you are looking at non scaled stats but you are not getting enough of hit scaled in bg. See my 2 pictures.
And ofc we all use more sets but you give a bad example and correct later when you have been told you are giving a bad example instead of mentioning all at once and give the information.

Yes but the sheet tells me that the amount of hit rating there isnt enough to hit 24s? I know that 3% is cap for equal levels but as lower level like 20 or 22 i still miss with 3% sometimes on 24s.
