New Year's Present - From TI Staff

Happy New Year Twink Info!

2013 was a long hard year for us as we all struggled to keep our community alive after MoP hit and then 5.4. But that is all behind us and activity seems to be increasing. F2Ps have held strong of course but the 24s are making their comeback and are recruiting known streamers to help. While many thought 19s were dead for good, the veterans were just waiting it out. Thanks to Agonist's sole efforts the 19 community resurrected itself like always! This past year it has still be a long road to recovery for the higher brackets but 29s and 39s continue to work on activity using wargames.

2014 is going to be another year of change. No one can say what will happen to our community or where we will be at this time next year. But myself and the rest of the TI Staff want to do our best to help this year to be a successful one. That being said, our New Year's present to the Twink Info community is....

Semi-Annual Ban Reconsideration!

Yes you read it right and no you're not seeing things. My staff and I have decided to implement a way for community members to appeal for forgiveness twice a year and have their accounts unbanned.

What does this mean? While anyone can appeal their ban at any time, they are typically declined to remain fair. This may seem harsh but we really do strive to keep things fair. So since we are also part of the communities you play in and want activity to increase we wanted a way to forgive those members we couldn't before.

How will it work? Every January and July we will make an announcement that we are accepting forgiveness appeals from banned users. At that time anyone who wishes to have a chance of redemption we ask to post their request in the ban appeal forum. If the member cannot access the site they may contact a moderator through other means or through another member. BUT they must prove that they are the member in question.

Why does it sound so complicated? Because it is. There really is no easy way we have thought of yet but this is still a work in progress.

As a final note I'd like to point out that this is not a guaranteed un-ban for those who are not deserving. This is meant to give us a way for those who do deserve it or those who are active in their communities to redeem themselves. Everyone who has their ban lifted will be watched carefully and can be instantly re-banned at any point.

Let the appeals commence! :)

39s play regular games. Not wargames. 3 nights a week.

I failed to know anything about the 39 bracket. >.< I'm sorry. <3

I'd like to get my actual account "Johneffer" unbanned please

Is this retroactive?

I wasted my ban appeal for some insignificant matter, just to prove a point. So if I happen to be banned by whatever reason, (which I think it wont happen) does it also mean I have the right to a new ban appeal? Because this wasn't in vigor when I first made my appeal.

Anyone can 'appeal' at any time when they are banned. There is no limit really. This is more of a forgiveness method for long time banned members that will occur twice a year.

maybe im just really high, but i dont get what this means or how it will affect anyone
