Restoring 19s

With the increased amount of activity and positive feedback I have taken it upon myself to now give 19s that full time job. If we as a 19 community are going to make this happen we will require commitment, a positive attitude and ofc turning up as much as possible.

What we will require to keep 19 activity steady:

-New Guilds . Currently there are a large majority of players especially on BH unguilded. I need people to step up and take a leadership position. Gather a roster, group up and make games more competitive.

-No complaining. Especially in the form of containment. The mid strat is infused into the bracket, and that is how future 19 games are going to be played whether you like it or not. if you're are getting contained, don't release and wait for the game to end. I want point 1 and 3 followed to the uttermost so we don't have this problem in the first place.

-Alliance. I can already see this being a problem in the future. We need people, mostly from BH horde to start making alliance. Horde comps are getting a bit too extreme. We have much better players on horde than ally atm.

-Controlled Moderation. I ask the mods to please be very lenient when viewing peoples posts in this section. We want a competitive atmosphere and arguing and bickering amongst this section is key to more activity. Take it upon yourselves to restore some of the 19s that have been banned. We need this section to be as active as possible.

-Less rogues. Too many rogues especially on alliance are making teams get contained. They extend games by all trying to return instead of helping their team get out of the gy. If rogues are going to persist doing this I will put a ban limit on them(2 at the most) rest will be reported afk. Rogues in general are just filling places for better suited classes and more competitive games.

-Non-members to join in. I see too many guests viewing 19 threads. Please, if you have a 19 make an account and contribute.

-Premades. I want some fckn premades so I can spam the serpent sting.


From Tuesday the 18th we will start Ques every day thereon from 8pm EST. Use this time till Tuesday to re gear, get enchants, make an ally etc.

I need people to step up and help reclaim a great bracket. None of this 24 garbage anymore. 24s can be played after 19s and before 19s so please don't go there. We can restore this bracket back to its glory MoP summer days or we could collapse into nothing as the Targaryens did.

VD had a 5 man team going for a couple games tonight. Hopefully other guilds will step up and q more people (ESPECIALLY ALLIANCE) to get games more competitive.
 
i r down 2 q every day
but i think its a big jump we should push a third night and then maybe a 4th and then try full time but i think this is to big of a jump we need baby stepps

I feel like we have enough willpower and interest to go full-time and start on Tuesday. My only worries are the points I've discussed above and their contribution to restrain the brackets activity.
 
- there are a large number of 19's on many servers, i see them as bank alts, hanging out in goldshire, at DMF etc. many of those do not come to this site

- 5.4 hurt our bracket because many 19's are on servers with no mains for leg/shoulder enchants, etc.

- 5.4.1 should remedy the damage due to crossrealm mailing of BOAs

- containment needs to stop, there is no reason and sit there and GY camp till players stop resing or to take SS's of damage and post it on this forum like some do and think it's cool/legit. as for players staying ghosts, they rarely ever do, i think some players are not playing fairly and intentionally res over and over to help pad their friends dmg/kills which leads to next one

- rigged games need to stop, players using a second account and/or friends to get imbal games to pop or throw games in their favor. you see this when extremely ill geared players enter the BGs, or a geared twink moving around at random with really no dmg.

- faction imbal, some 19's were originally alliance, some swapped not to get BIS they were BIS already, they spent $$ to keep on the dominant side. smarter players dual rolled but this has been damaging the bracket too, this is very evident when they win-log roll, or are forced to swap factions due to causing a que time imbal because of containment type strategies.

- rogues.....agree at times way too many, causes the few unable to stealth to get insta-gibbed, but in helping their team get out of a GY containment, once their healers, tanks, non stealth are being GY farmed, all rogues would do is add themselves to the staggered res GY farm.

- 20-24 bracket has hurt 19's too, once 19's started suffering many jumped. but that imbal bracket is even harder to control than 19's and games swing wildly

I'm thinking of going US and get in on some Saturday night action :) The games streamed by Eliot yday seemed like a lot of fun. (That viewbot tho lol)

A lot of problems could be fixed by playing AB instead of warsong. Comps matter less in AB, GY farming for long periods of time generally isn't an issue unless the losing team is trying to hang onto one base and just getting slammed, and it actually req some form of strat rather than just mobbing and rolling.
 
the 19 bracket needs someone to make a updated armory section. thing hasnt been updated since before 19s even came back into action, its important for people making new chars to have stuff to copy/build off imo

In AB 19s comps matter less is this real ? The comp with more mobility (druid / shaman /rogue nightstalker / pala with pursuit of justice) will win easy. GY farming will be an issue for sure aswell, and if few rogues decide to ninja some bases, team will be like "why are you prolonging a dead game such a try harder?!"

there is no speed mount in 19's...
 
Games have been pretty fun. Horde's definitely stronger, but there are a lot of close ones too. I'd say at least 2/3 games could go either way.

Good ranged playing Ally will make a big difference. Ally just doesn't have an answer to coordinated Horde groups right now. Even when we do have a comp that could put up a fight, it's just not gonna happen against a team consistently doing things like ambushing on starsurges. As much as I like just putting music on and spamming serpent sting, I'd be up for using skype sometimes to get better games going. I know it's gotten mixed reviews, but we could maybe even do something casual like an axon channel for pugs.

Yeah, armory lists/guides to point people to would help. We had one game last night with 5 people on Ally who took a wrong turn finishing up their Westfall questline and talked to the XP off guy instead of Varian. It's tempting to AFK people (especially the ones with shitty attitudes too), but it'd probably be more productive to get some of them actually contributing to games.
