Changes on Korgath

There are going to be some changes on our server. Changes for the better that will help our community grow.

Korgath Horde:

Korgath is now going branching out to Horde. Me and a few others have decided to start leveling up horde toons to bring in even more games and many other players.

New Que Zone & World PvP:

We will now mostly que for arenas in Dalaran Sewers. Why Dalaran Sewers you ask? Because there we can que cross faction and duel, can see all our cross faction friends, AND something that really excites me, WPvP!

How will we WPvP in Dal? Well there is a portal in dal that will take you down into Crystalsong Forest. The area you port down to is fairly big and has no mobs to attack you. This makes for a very easily accessible WPvP Zone.

Class balance:

Kochi has drawn up a few rules to balance games for our arenas.

Rogue
- level 3 dagger from Goldshire vendor
- only Assassination spec

Warrior
- level 3 weapon from Goldshire vendor

Hunter
- level 3 bow from SW trade center
- Marksmen spec
- no Aspect of Hawk

Druid
- no Feral spec (Guardian is fine)

Monk
undecided, needs more testing

- - - AGM - - -

The AGM bubble is not allowed unless both teams agree to use it for the match.

- - - P2P rules - - -

For those using P2P account the restrictions are:
- no guild BoA
- no chants over skill 100

Raid Call:

We now have a RC for the server, the ID is : 6193589

Overall its a major improvement to the Korgath community and will hopefully make games more balanced, and our server much stronger.

XRZing players now will not be a permanent luxury anymore, if you want to play on Korgath and you enjoy our players company and our community then you should come join us.

XRZ will now be used for allowing players from other servers to enjoy only a FEW of our lovely Korgath matches and to see our wonderful community.

SKYPE GROUP will be for KORGATH PLAYERS ONLY from now on. The only exception to all of these rules is if the character is a p2p.

Looking forward to some games when Bop takes his head out of The Bible.

And it looks like when we do get a chance to play... we wont be massively outgeared. xD

And as I said gj, WPvP and queueing in Dalaran was a good idea. :)

I am interested in your arena server, and would like to inquire as to what classes/roles you guys would like to see more of e.g., Is there a lack of P's in your RMPs?

I know there are probably old posts about this, but generally how geared do you want to be to begin to participate these days?

gud luck with the ideas . Dal is a pretty sweet hub to stay at just because u have portal to sw/ org . plenty of achieves to waste time on while waiting for que's and the underbelly potions are great fun . ( specially when u duel a melee class . pop the potion to turn into a wasp then you fly into the air and cast them to death :p)

anything is fine really its up to you, healers are always nice but its not needed, and gear honestly doesnt matter as long as u can get 1.4k + hp on the toon.

glad to see f2p is still rolling . i wish i could join you guys! this looks fun and wow are rogues and warriors that strong that they need lvl 3 weps? ive been gone for tpo too long :(

gearing up a few horde toons on korgath right now to get some crossfaction games popping.

Super friendly environment! thanks for the help & the cool conversations ;)
Start rolling people.... You wont regret it

.

Just curious as to why p2p are exempt from the cross server rules?

This sounds interesting to me. But I must admit up front that I have practically zero arena experience!

Well, i have a f2p mage and a f2p hunter on Ally side, but a Lock/Warr on horde side sounds nice on my ears.

But lately, i see Korgath a little empty. Is there more people Horde-side?

p2ps are exempt because they can xrz group themselves, but it's their loss if theyre missing out on cross faction games because dalaran is a cross realm zone unlike the big cities, and they wouldnt be able to que against horde or alliance teams. And its fine having no experience, we have players of all skill levels :p

Korgath at the moment is run through a skype group and has too many xrz players so it will seem empty, and we are trying to fix that with these changes. Horde just started up, but we have enough players to get games going.

This is partly the reason why we want to get rid of xrz games all together because we do not grow at all as a community, its not fair to players that play here, and if these xrz players enjoy the people we have in our community they should stop being lazy and come join.

All you need for a toon on here is 1.4k hp + and a trinket and ur good to go.

Got it. Are we in need of healers or any other classes? I was thinking between War/Priest/Lock.

Because it exists In a skype group, not a wow server. It's the opposite of empty. Afk for one hour? 400 notifications.

Yes the skype works well, but it also is somewhat of a problem with our server seeming empty like blood would think, which is why these changes will hopefully give people some reasons to be online more instead of waiting for people to ask for games in skype.

December 13th me and kochi decided the skype group will be disbanded and will either be reformed or switched over to raid call, or try to work with both. With raid call we can control it way more than skype. You would know when someone is actually on looking for games, voice communication as well as a chat, people don't need to be added into it they can just hop in and if they're from other servers they can see how our server is.

Theres also many cool features with raid call as well. I can post someones stream in our raid call and it will actually show the live stream playing through it.

Our server is dead socially because of the skype group at the moment, thought it may not matter to some who just want arena games which is understandable, but its not healthy for the server as a whole. Cross realming is also a part of the problem too, but these changes will hopefully fix everything.

Skype group and XRZing did help Korgath get back up on it's feet, but its not something we can be doing forever.

Korgath was never meant to be just a skype group.
