Accountwide Heirlooms, Vanity Items and Tabards (picture)

What would really narrow the gap between F2P and P2P would be if all enchants were stripped off of BoAs, and then BoAs were made to be unable to be enchanted at all.

You heard it here first.

Won't happen, they just did the scaling thing so people could chant their BoAs

I dont know about you, but I dont pvp for the sake of gearing until Im BiS.. I pvp for the sake of pvp. Being able to (more or less) instantly gear your alts close to BiS is great. (As a principle without entering the p2p enchs discussion)

this needs to be my sig

I'll sub for a bit when I can get WoD on sale to get the last few remaining heirlooms I don't have, maybe stick around for a month or two, then back to f2p...

Wonder if you could use 2x trinket when just purchasing one ;) New expension will also removes stats like hit/expertise.

Can someone please explain how removing hit from the game changes items with this stat bonus? Is it replaced with a new stat?

New stats are coming like speed (movement) or aoe, there is no infos about this for the moment (will the aoe break CC? don't think so) and it's not sure the new stats will be added to low level, maybe they will only remove the stat and that's it. Not so long ago they did a similar thing with magic resist which was removed on most items (still have my +1 all resist enchanted back and the other one with +stamina + fire rest though).

Usually yes, though it's also possible that the other stats on it would be modified so that the item maintains its iLevel. It's a little early yet to speculate.

They will most likely replace the retired stats with something else; whether it's one of the new stats or an existing one, it's too early to know.

Similar things have happened before when stats have been removed. Spell Penetration (which used to be on Rune of Perfection) turned into Hit rating for the most part. Armor penetration was generally replaced by Crit, Haste, or Mastery. In all these cases the replacement stat served a fairly similar purpose to the one it replaced.

The other side of the coin would be Magic Resistances, though. In that case, they kept them on a lot of the old gear, didn't replace anything, and just stopped adding resistances to new items. Personally I think it's really unlikely that they'd take this approach with Hit/Expertise/Dodge/Parry - it wouldn't make much sense at all, considering how these stats work. It'd make much more sense for them to just replace these stats with some other damage or tanking stat.

Edit: Apparently I need to stop spending 20 minutes writing these walls of text while people more skilled in brevity than myself answer the question.

I wonder if the toy box account wide feature would include WoW TCG loot card stuff.... and if so would the item be account wide or just on one toon like how the rated BG mount is only on one toon. I kinda hope the tcg loot stuff isn't totally account wide because I have 2 goblin weather machines, 2 tabards of frost and 2 goblin gumbo kettles all redeemed on the same account. That would be a giant waste if I didn't get some sort of compensation for having multiples !! I mean, that's around $720 worth of loot we're talking about here.

If i had to guess i would say that both hit and exp will still be in game, and you will get x amount per level. It will just be a hidden stat that still functions just like resistances. As for gear, some of it might be removed, it just depends on how thorough blizzard is.

The new stats wont be replacing it but doing something different. Movement speed buff is obvious, faster movement. Cleave appears to be an "aoe" stat. Turning your skills that heal or damage into an aoe. Im not sure how it works exactly, nobody does, yet. Stay tuned.

no they will most likely be merged togheter in to a new stat.

tcg tabards will be included and you wont get a compensation, why? because everything else would be stupid

As far as I can tell... account wide tabards are not yet official. But if they do make the tcg crap account wide I'll be sure to open a ticket to see if, at the very least, they will send the extra loot to my other account. I'm sure it's not very likely but I'll try lol. It's one thing to not give compensation for crap obtained in game but this tcg loot cost a lot of real money.

ye i get your point but the same thing happened with accountwide boe (tcg or other ones) mounts, no compensation for ppl who had the same mount on different characters.
