Hey guys, just a thread which I wanted to posted within the bracket!

Tell me guys, what are you looking forward to or dreading regarding 5.4?

For me I'm looking forward to the implementation of gems being nerfed, I'm also looking forward to seeing how stable the PVP Is going to be! Hopefully I'll be able to try arms in the up and coming season!

I like the arena changes like no teams, region-wide battlegroups and no prots (confirm/deny?)

However, hunters are getting nerfed quite hard with silencing shot being replaced by "Counter shot" in survival and beast mastery. So I'll be trying out marksmanship.
The removal of readiness is gonna hit us very hard at level 70 as they are compensating by giving deterr two charges, and we don't have deterr at 70. ;p
Not to mention that removing readiness is dumbing down the class even more, taking away even more decision making while playing hunter. One of the few things that separates all the random hunter rerollers from the good hunters at the moment, is using readiness correctly. Also no more badass double disengages. ):

But we'll see. Might not be as bad as it looks. :>

Honestly this it the patch I'm looking most forward to, in a VERY long time. Some classes that have had a hard time being viable in arenas, is getting some buffs etc, that could change that.

Especially I'm looking forward to try out my Affliction warlock and my Arms Warrior in arena after the changes is implemented.
Another major change, that I like is the nerf of synapse tazik - For classes like Prot palas, shadow priest (disc aswell) etc. is this nerf gonna hit alot harder than for many other classes, since 90% of the time they are winning on a kill, in their insanely burst/nuke. So cutting of like 20% of the dmg in their nuke, is lovely in my opinion.

Gems/enchant being scaled down is also a good thing! Besides, battle fatique (healing scaled down in pvp) is also going fro 45 down to 55 - another very good thing, since healing is and have been way to overpowered for a very long time, so 10% of there is a start.

Last thing, Onlydreams* Prots can still queue for arena

I agree, this is definitely good. However, as weird as it may sound, I think the nerfing of the gems will contribute to making the bracket a lot more 'bursty'. Considering that pretty much all classes (with the exception of mages and rogues) are right now forced to stack a lot of stamina gems to survive a burst from a prot paladin, shadow priest, elemental shaman, mage, boomy, feral or rogue. This means that most classes right now have a lot of stamina gems compared to int/agi/str gems. So what happens when we take away half the stats from all gems? We get significantly lower health pools while still keeping pretty much the same damage. Combine this with the damage buffs to a lot of the classes, and I think we're in for a very bursty patch, even if they are nerfing the tinkers.

Indeed, the busting about this bracket is here to stay (atleast for now)

On my warlock I'm basically full int gemmed, and got around 18k HP - this is after gems have been scaled down ofc.

Same goes for my rogue Deatru @ Al'Akir - Community - World of Warcraft It is indeed in some mixed sta gear etc aswell, but I't still around the 16k HP unbuffed after gems scaled down.

I Think it's about adapting yourself to the changes, and learn how to deal with them - Overall I'm almost 100% sure it will be better than before.
Besides, the HP nerf from gems, enchant etc aswell, Ain't really that much more than 2 max 3k HP you loose (and that is, if your fully HP stacked)

Atleast I rather wanna have like 6 classes that do extremely wicked burst, compared to 2 classes right now.

My hunter will lose 1425 hp from gems alone (I'm assuming I will lose some from enchant downscaling too?) And 9,5/19 of my gems are stamina gems (my dragon's eye gems are agility).

Another thing I just remembered that I'm looking forward to is that rogues will have lower dodge chance (ignoring the evasion buffs).
Rogue dodges against hunters were quite retarded in this patch, with some rogues making "anti-hunter" sets with 73% dodge chance. ;p

nothing about readiness. whoever serpent stings most, is the best
I choose to believe that you are smarter than that, and that you are once again being sarcastic.

Haven't had the chance to copy my priest to the public test realm, which is in sta gear - So yeah, I see I might have been a bit wrong calculating the HP you loose - my bad ;)

Indeed, the dodge chance for rogues will be scaled down, not sure how much actually I havent looked into that. I think my rogue got like 53-55% dodge atm, so might be scaled down to like 40% or so in sub. Still is ALOT IMO . . But yeah, it's better. . . Atleast for other classes ;)

By the way, anyone knows if arena also will be closed down tomorrow?

I also wonder how priests will fair, I'm unsure what they're like on the PTR!

However I do hope that priests become more stable in general within 5.4 :/ It has been ridiculous recently.

So far I haven't really noticed a significant damage loss on any class, other then health pools dropped a bit.

In BGs, everything is the same pretty much. I have noticed a bug though where secondary stat gems (wotlk gems) have doubled but don't give the benefit.

EU servers will be up in about 5 hours (10:00 CEST).
Looking forward to testing out a lot of things including new explosive shot damage, new aimed shot damage and checking out the healthpools of people.
Sucks that readiness had to go though.. I wonder what I'll put on that keybind now. I was even considering speccing aspect of the iron hawk over exhilaration because they buffed battle fatigue even more, and of course removed readiness which exhilaration benefited from. Sounds like I'm gonna have to redesign my UI T_T #firstworldproblems

Would love to hear from some US hunters out there. How do you find the class after the patch? :)

Overall everything is very similar. I am liking the marksmanship change though. Its probably the best due to the only tree with Silencing Shot, which in turn you gain a new ability from 2nd tier. The readiness loss hurts alot though. I've regemmed and im sitting at 16.4k HP with 2.4k AP currently.

Hunters get raped a bit as far as weapon enchants go, I was going to test out Lord Blastingtons Scope but of course it doesn't work like all the other enchants do -_-

Cool. How are rogues? Killing everything in opener as predicted?

bracket will either die of revive, this patch will give us the answer lets hope it is the better one.
