How to go offline

Holypowah

Is a noob
I just noticed a way to be able to go offline in WoW (no player distractions and disconnects).

1. Log into your toon
2. Log out
3. Go to change realm
4. Double click your server. When you see connected hit enter, then hit enter again and you will be stuck on "logging into server"
5. Click cancel, log back out then back in.
6. ???
7. Profit?

I'm not exactly sure of what this can accomplish but you might be able to farm nodes/make it so you can't DC on your DK for Achievements.

If your client can't communicate with the server you can't actually get anything done that matters. You could explore, as in like, just look around. But even that wouldn't result in achievements. There's little to nothing you could benefit from by playing any MMO client-side.

Useless thread. *cough*

Don't sink to their level :S Been there, isn't worth it.

I am not, no one ever reads the sarcasm in my posts. : /

I know you're being sarcastic and you're exactly right, They won't read the sarcasm in your post, they'll just jump down your throat some more.

It's all they ever do.

I think the question is; do you suffer from fatigue while offline?

I doubt you would, but even if you did make it to different continents, you can't reconnect yourself without authentication, meaning you'd have to restart your client, meaning you'd end up back where you were before your client stopped sending the server information of your whereabouts.

Offline mode has been around since vanilla. Any way to take advantage of live servers using offline mode have been taken care of long ago.

While I haven't toyed with it since BC, I would guess that there's little to no real use from this that you would benefit from.
